Anglican Diocese Of The West (ACNA)
The Anglican Diocese of the West (formerly known as the Missionary Diocese of CANA West) is a diocese of the Anglican Church in North America and formerly of the Church of Nigeria North American Mission. It was one of the four missionary dioceses of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America, which was founded in 2005. As such, it had a dual church body of the ACNA and the Church of Nigeria in the United States, until May 2019. It comprises 35 parishes in 11 American states, California, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Washington and in 3 Canadian provinces, Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan. The state with most parishes is Texas, with 14. The diocesan office and the Anglican Cathedral Church of St. Francis are both located in El Paso, Texas. The first bishop is Nigerian-born Felix Orji. In church governance, a diocese or bishopric is the ecclesiastical district under the jurisdiction of a bishop. History In the later organization of the Roman Empire, the increasingly subdivided provinces were administratively associated in a larger unit, the diocese (Latin ''dioecesis'', from the Greek term διοίκησις, meaning "administration"). Christianity was given legal status in 313 with the Edict of Milan. Churches began to organize themselves into dioceses based on the civil dioceses, not on the larger regional imperial districts. Henry Ndukuba
Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba (born 18 July 1961) is the current Primate of the Church of Nigeria. Prior to his appointment, he was Archbishop of Jos and Bishop of Gombe. Biography Henry Ndukuba was born in a Christian home in Anambra State. His parents, Silas and Selina Ndukuba, were Christian Missionary Society (now known as Anglican) school and church teachers from Ogberuru in Diocese of Orlu, (which happens to be Henry's home diocese) Orlu, Imo State. The Anglican Diocese of the Trinity (ADOTT) is a diocese of the Church of Nigeria and formerly of the Anglican Church in North America and a sub-jurisdiction of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA). It is the first missionary diocese of CANA launched by the Church of Nigeria in the United States and Canada, working as an evangelical church planting movement. Nashotah House
Nashotah House is an Anglicanism, Anglican seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin. The seminary opened in 1842 and received its official charter in 1847. The institution is independent and generally regarded as one of the more theologically Conservatism, conservative seminaries in the Episcopal Church (United States). It is also officially recognized by the Anglican Church in North America. Its campus was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. Scott Seely
Scott Andrew Seely (born 1981) is an American Anglican bishop. Consecrated in 2020 in the Church of Nigeria North American Mission (CONNAM), he currently serves as bishop suffragan of the Anglican Diocese of All Nations (formerly the Anglican Diocese of the West) in the Anglican Church in North America. Biography Seely is a native Texan. He received his B.A. in church music from Texas Lutheran University in 2003, his M.A. in theology from the Master's Seminary in 2007, his M.Div. from Trinity School for Ministry in 2010, and his D.Min. in congregational development from Nashotah House in 2019. Prior to his ordination, Seely was youth minister at the Episcopal Church of Reconciliation in San Antonio and as worship leader at Christ Church in the Hill Country in Bulverde, Texas.
