Anglesey Circuit
The Anglesey Circuit ( cy, Trac Môn) is a motor racing circuit located in Ty Croes, Anglesey, Wales. It plays host to a variety of motorsport events including car racing, motorcycle racing, car sprints, stage rallies and drifting. It opened as a fully licensed MSA and ACU championship racing circuit in 1997. The circuit was significantly redeveloped in 2006, and as of 2019 further plans for additional development have been in place. History Anglesey Circuit is located on a former British Army and RAF facility on the island of Anglesey, just off the North coast of Wales. The facilities were decommissioned in 1992, and it would be the Wirral 100 motor racing club that first identified the opportunity for racing at Anglesey. Anglesey (; cy, (Ynys) Môn ) is an island off the north-west coast of Wales. It forms a principal area known as the Isle of Anglesey, that includes Holy Island across the narrow Cymyran Strait and some islets and skerries. Catie's Amazing Machines
''Grace's Amazing Machines'' (known as ''Catie's Amazing Machines'' and presented by Catie Munnings for the first series) is a television series first shown on CBeebies in October 2018. Presenter Grace Webb explains the role and basic mechanics of large and/or fast vehicles, usually ending up in the driving seat for a demonstration. The format is similar for each episode; Munnings/Webb summons Speedie, a remote controlled car, to deliver an envelope revealing the theme of the episode. Three machines are featured, from which she chooses her favourite. Vox pops with children share their thoughts on the vehicles. A glam metal soundtrack is provided by The Darkness (band), The Darkness. Catie Munnings
Catie Munnings (born 15 November 1997) is a British rally driver. The daughter of former rally driver Chris Munnings, she currently competes in the new electric off-road racing series Extreme E for the Andretti United team. She has previously raced in the European Rally Championship, winning the championship's Ladies' Trophy in 2016. She also presented '' Catie's Amazing Machines'' on the BBC television channel CBeebies. Biography Childhood and personal life Munnings was born on 15 November 1997. She is the daughter of the rally driver and instructor Chris Munnings and his wife Tracey. Tom Pryce
Thomas Maldwyn Pryce (11 June 1949 – 5 March 1977) was a British racing driver from Wales known for winning the Brands Hatch Race of Champions, a non-championship Formula One race, in 1975 and for the circumstances surrounding his death. Pryce is the only Welsh driver to have won a Formula One race and is also the only Welshman to lead a Formula One World Championship Grand Prix: two laps of the 1975 British Grand Prix. Pryce started his career in Formula One with the small Token team, making his only start for them at the 1974 Belgian Grand Prix. Shortly after winning the Formula Three support race for the 1974 Monaco Grand Prix, Pryce joined the Shadow team and scored his first points in Germany in only his fourth race. Peter Williams (motorcyclist)
Peter Williams (27 August 1939 – 20 December 2020) was a British former professional motorcycle racer. He competed in Grand Prix motorcycle road racing from 1966 to 1973. He also competed at many levels on home short-circuit races. He raced many times on the Isle of Man TT course from 1966 to 1973. His father was Jack Williams who ran the Associated Motor Cycles (AMC) race department. Williams trained in mechanical engineering and introduced via racing alloy wheels, an innovation which is commonplace on today's road bikes, and was also an early pioneer of solo-motorcycle disc brakes. Riding career Williams was born in Nottingham, England. The Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship is an auto racing Rallycross series, running in the United Kingdom. From 2020, the championship became known as the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy presented by Cooper Tire.
