His best finish at the FIL World Luge Championships was 16th in the men's doubles event at Lake Placid, New York, in FIL World Luge Championships 2009, 2009. Anghel Nour was a Bessarabian politician. He served as the first mayor of Chişinău between 1817 and 1821. Biography Angel Nour was born in a family of Moldavian small-local nobles. The Anghel Saligny Bridge (formerly King Carol I Bridge) is a complex of two railroad truss bridges in Romania, across the Danube River and the Borcea branch of the Danube, connecting the regions of Muntenia and Dobruja. The bridge is listed in the National Register of Historic Monuments. History The bridge was built between 1890 and 1895 over the Danube, the Borcea branch of the Danube, and the Balta Ialomiței island, and when it was completed, with a total length (with viaducts) of , it became the longest bridge in Europe and the second longest in the world. Anghel Saligny (; 19 April 1854, Șerbănești, Moldavia – 17 June 1925, Bucharest, Romania) was a Romanian engineer, most famous for designing the Fetești-Cernavodă railway bridge (1895) over the Danube, the longest bridge in Europe at that time. He also designed the storage facilities in Constanța seaport, one of the earliest examples of reinforced concrete architecture in Europe. Anghel Iordănescu (; born 4 May 1950), also known as "Tata Puiu", is a Romanian former footballer and former manager of the Romania national team, who played as a forward. Atanasie Anghel Popa (died 19 August 1713) was a Romanian Greek-Catholic bishop of Alba Iulia between 1698 and 1713. He was the successor to Teophilus Seremi in the seat of Mitropoliei Bălgradului (Alba-Iulia). Through his continued efforts, he perfected the union of the Romanian Transylvanians with the Catholic Church. Anghel Demetriescu (October 5, 1847 - July 18, 1903) was a Romanian history, Romanian historian, writer and literary critic, who became a list of members of the Romanian Academy, member of the Romanian Academy in 1902.
