Angharad Davies
Angharad Davies is a Welsh violinist and composer, known for her work in the field of free improvisation, her use of prepared violin (using techniques similar to the prepared piano), her extensive discography and collaborative work with other musicians. Early life and education Davies was born in Aberystwyth, Wales, and grew up in a musical household, playing in local brass bands alongside her father and brother. Her father was an amateur trumpet player and her brother is Rhodri Davies, now known as an improvising harpist. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and subsequently with violinists Charles-Andre Linale in Düsseldorf, Germany and Howard Davis in London. Career Davies has collaborated on improvised projects with musicians and artists including Tarek Atoui, Tony Conrad, Laura Cannell, Jack McNamara, Roberta Jean and J.G.Thirlwell. Apartment House (musical Ensemble)
Anton Lukoszevieze (born 1965) is a British- Lithuanian cellist, composer and visual artist. He is the director of the ensemble Apartment House, who are known for their advocacy of experimental and avant-garde music and frequent international performances. He is an alumnus of the Royal College of Music. Richard Dawson (musician)
Richard Michael Dawson (born 1981) is an English folk-influenced musician from Newcastle upon Tyne. His 2014 album '' Nothing Important'' was released by Weird World and was met with critical acclaim. His 2017 album ''Peasant'' received similar acclaim, and was chosen by ''The Quietus'' as their album of the year. In 2019, he released the album ''2020'', again to critical acclaim. Released on Weird World (an imprint of Domino Records) in late November 2021, ''Henki'', a collaborative album made with the Finnish band Circle, was announced in September 2021. ''The Magic Numbers'' is the debut album from English pop rock band the Magic Numbers. It was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize in 2005. Songwriting duties were taken by Romeo Stodart as was much of the musical composition and arrangement. It incorporated the earlier single release of "Hymn for Her" as a hidden track. The album incorporates many folk elements within the main indie sound which resounds throughout. The album also reflects many elements of the writers early childhood dreams, tales of their love life and desperation of youth. For example, "Love Me Like You", the best known single of the album, illustrates the difference of feeling in their love for each other. Production The Magic Numbers began recording the album in late 2004 at the Metropolis Studios in Chiswick. The album was co-produced by Romeo Stodart and American producer Craig Silvey. Another Timbre
Another Timbre is a record label, based in Sheffield and known for its releases of free improvisation, experimental and contemporary classical music. Toshimaru Nakamura is a Japanese musician, active in free improvisation and Japanese Onkyokei, onkyo. He began his career playing rock and roll guitar, but gradually explored other types of music, even abandoning guitar, and started working on circuit bending.
