''Angels Embrace'' is the eighth studio album by the English singer, songwriter, and musician Jon Anderson, It was released in September 1995 by Higher Octave Music. Background Following the release of his previous album, '' Change We Must'', in October 1994, Anderson took a break after touring with the rock band Yes before he started to write and record music for a new album. By 1995, Anderson had met his future wife Jane Luttenberger who became a significant inspiration to his life and the music he would write since the mid-1990s. A photograph of the couple is included on the album's liner notes. ''Angels Embrace'' was recorded in 1995, with Anderson as the producer, and mixed at Opio Studios in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. Jon Anderson
John Roy Anderson (born 25 October 1944) is an English singer, songwriter and musician, best known as the lead singer of the progressive rock band Yes, which he formed in 1968 with bassist Chris Squire. He was a member of the band across three tenures until 2008. Anderson was also a member of ARW along with former Yes bandmates Rick Wakeman and Trevor Rabin from 2016–2020. Together with bassist Lee Pomeroy and drummer Lou Molino III, they toured under the name Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman. Anderson is also noted for his solo career and collaborations with other artists, including Vangelis as Jon and Vangelis, Roine Stolt as Anderson/Stolt, and Jean-Luc Ponty as AndersonPonty Band. Higher Octave Music is a sub-label imprint of Narada Productions. Since 2013, it is part of Universal Music Group's Capitol Music Group, which is located in Los Angeles. History Higher Octave was acquired by Virgin Records on behalf of EMI in 1997. In 2004, Higher Octave's offices in Malibu, California, were closed and the label was folded into Narada Productions at a reduced level of staffing and activity while retaining its imprint as a sub-label of Narada. ''Toltec'' is the ninth solo album by Yes lead singer Jon Anderson, released in 1996. Background A promo album called ''The Power of Silence'' was released in 1992 by Geffen (only on musicassette). A full release never appeared, but ''Toltec'' is essentially the same music, with added narration. The 1996 Toltec release is made up of 13 cuts divided into three parts. It tells the tale of the Toltec, a Native American concept of a group of people who have been all over the Earth, existing within different cultures throughout the centuries. They are described in the album liner as "Creators of the circles of power, color, perfume, and music healing domes."
