Angeline Falls is a large waterfall located on an unnamed tributary of the West Fork Foss River in Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area, King County, Washington. It is a horsetail type waterfall high and more than wide. The waterfall is perennial and flows from the outlet of Angeline Lake to the head of Delta Lake. It is at 47.58340oN, 121.31034oW. Angeline Falls is located where the subterranean outlet of Angeline Lake rises out of the sheer cliff. Mary Angeline Teresa McCrory, O.Carm., (21 January 1893 – 21 January 1984), was an Ulster-born immigrant to the United States. Chloe Angeline Stickney Hall (November 1, 1830 – July 3, 1892) was an American mathematician and suffragist who was the wife of astronomer Asaph Hall. Stickney Hall was an active participant in her husband's search for the moons of Mars, performing mathematical calculations on the data he collected. On Monday, December 1, 1958, a fire broke out at Our Lady of the Angels School in Chicago, Illinois, shortly before classes were to be dismissed for the day. The fire originated in the basement near the foot of a stairway. The elementary school was operated by the Archdiocese of Chicago and had an enrollment of approximately 1600 students. A total of 92 pupils and 3 nuns ultimately died when smoke, heat, fire, and toxic gases cut off their normal means of egress through corridors and stairways.
