Angelica Ljungqvist
Angelica Elsa Birgitta Ljungqvist (formerly Angelica Ljungquist, born 20 December 1974) is a Swedish former volleyball player and coach, both at the amateur and professional level. She was also the associate coach for the women's volleyball team at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Early years Ljungqvist was born December 20, 1974, to Ann-Britt and Leif Ljungqvist. She grew up in Vallentuna, Sweden, and graduated from Vallentuna Gymnasium (Stockholm, Sweden) in 1993. College Ljungqvist came to Hawai'i to play volleyball for the Rainbow Wahines in 1993. She came to play for coach Dave Shoji, who already had national championships in 1979 (AIAW), 1982, 1983, and 1987 (NCAA). She was talented enough to be named to All-American teams as a freshman, but Shoji could always find areas needing improvement. Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Beach Volleyball
The Hawaiʻi Rainbow Wāhine beach volleyball team, more commonly known as the Hawaii SandBows, is the beach volleyball team representing the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in NCAA Division I women's play. History The university has a rich volleyball tradition. They have had three head coaches since the team's inception in 2012. In 2014 under head coach Scott Wong, they appeared in the NCAA Division I Final Four. During the 2015 season, they ranked first in attendance among all Division 1 volleyball beach programs. The "SandBows" averaged over 330 fans, each, for six home matches. With Collegiate Beach's inception, the Bows have been ranked in every AVCA Top 10 Poll to date. The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (with 9 located in Southern California alone) and one is located in Hawaii. Robyn Ah Mow-Santos
Robyn Mokihana Ah Mow (born September 15, 1975) is the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team and a former American indoor volleyball player. She was a setter on the USA national team and played at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal. She worked as an assistant coach at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team from 2011-2015 and was named Head Coach in 2017 after Dave Shoji's retirement. She has also served as a club coach at Na Keiki Mau Loa Volleyball Club.
