Angela Gerekou
Angela Gerekou ( el, Άντζελα Γκερέκου; born March 26, 1959) is a Greek actress and politician. Currently serving as President of Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) from 2019. She served as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Sports (Greece), Ministry of Culture and Sport from 2014 to 2015 and from 2009 to 2010. Also served as Member of parliament, MP for the Hellenic Parliament from 2004 to 2012. Biography Early life Angela Gerekou was born in Corfu, in the Ionian Sea, Greece. New Democracy (Greece)
New Democracy (ND; el, Νέα Δημοκρατία, Néa Dimokratía, ) is a liberal-conservative political party in Greece. In contemporary Greek politics, New Democracy has been the main centre-right political party and one of the two major parties along with its historic rival, the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK). New Democracy and PASOK were created in the wake of the toppling of the military junta in 1974, and ruled Greece alternately for the next four decades. The Panhellenic Socialist Movement ( el, Πανελλήνιο Σοσιαλιστικό Κίνημα, Panellínio Sosialistikó Kínima, ), known mostly by its acronym PASOK, (; , ) is a social-democratic political party in Greece.
