Angel Cop
is a six-part original video animation created and directed by Ichirō Itano. A manga adaptation written and illustrated by Taku Kitazaki was serialized in ''Newtype'' in 1989 and collected into a ''Newtype 100%'' collection released in April 1990. Synopsis The story initially starts by dealing with terrorism at the end of the 20th century, where Japan is the largest economy in the world. The communist radical group, the Red May, are trying to bring down Japan's economy and take over the government. In response, a government agency, the Special Security Force, is formed with the ability to act outside the law. However, when the Red May suddenly find themselves being wiped out, the force discovers that something else is hunting the terrorists. Ichirō Itano
is a Japanese animator, director, and producer. He has worked in a number of science fiction anime series, especially mecha-themed ones. He created several original video animations including ''Angel Cop'', and ''Battle Royal High School''. He directed on ''Megazone 23''. He also directed on a number of episodes and films related to ''Macross''. He also directed ''Gantz'', and worked on series composition and direction for ''Blassreiter''. Publicizing ''Blassreiter'' in 2008, He belongs to that the CG team was independent from GONZO. He teaches younger generation as an adviser in the company. Yūko Mizutani
was a Japanese actress, voice actress, narrator and singer from Ama District, Aichi. Throughout her career, she worked with Production Baobab, and was working with Aoni Production at the time of her death. Nozomu Sasaki
is a Japanese voice actor and singer. He is represented by the voice actor management firm, 81 Produce, and was previously represented by Arts Vision. In 1988, he voiced the character Tetsuo Shima in the movie '' Akira'', which was adapted from the manga of the same name. He also provided the voice of Yusuke Urameshi in the anime adaptation of the manga ''YuYu Hakusho'' and returned to that role in video games for that franchise.
