''Anecdotes of pious men'' ( fa, داستان راستان) is a book by Morteza Motahhari. It is an ethical fiction published in English by Ansariyan in 1993. Narrative It is based on historical short story of Islamic references. The book has two volumes and it contains collections of 125 ethical fiction. Each volume of the book has 75 ethical fiction. The original book was Persian and Saba Zehra Naqavi has translated it to English. Khadim Husayn Naqavi has edited it too. Awards Anecdotes of pious men won UNESCO Award, in 1965. Publication The book was launched in Iran in 1960. The book was translated to Spanish and Japanese. TV program adaptation A TV adaptation by Akbar Hor and Huoshang Pakravan was broadcast on IRIB 1 in 1981-1982. Morteza Motahhari
Morteza Motahhari ( fa, مرتضی مطهری, also Romanized as "Mortezā Motahharī"; 31 January 1919 – 1 May 1979) was an Iranian Twelver Shia scholar, philosopher, lecturer. Motahhari is considered to have an important influence on the ideologies of the Islamic Republic, among others. He was a co-founder of Hosseiniye Ershad and the Combatant Clergy Association (''Jāme'e-ye Rowhāniyat-e Mobārez''). He was a disciple of Ruhollah Khomeini during the Shah's reign and formed the Council of the Islamic Revolution at Khomeini's request. He was chairman of the council at the time of his assassination. ''Noureddin, Son of Iran'' ( fa, نورالدین پسر ایران) is the memoirs of Sayyid Noureddin Afi from the 80 months of his participation in the Iran–Iraq war. ''Noureddin, Son of Iran'' led to Afi's reputation in Iran after it was published by Sureye Mehr Publication in 2011. In 1994, Mousa Ghayour recorded the memoirs of Noureddin Afi in Turkish and it was presented as a written book by Masoume Sepehri years later. َThis book consisted of 18 chapters along with photographs. The narrator mentions a dream as the reason of producing this war memoir. ''That Which That Orphan Saw'' ( fa, آنک آن یتیم نظر کرده) is a novel by Iranian author Mohammad Reza Sarshar about the life of Mohammad, the prophet of Islam. Sarshar has attempted to describe the tumultuous and unique life of Mohammad in the novel. Muslims believe that Mohammad was the last prophet and the most complete human being. ''That Which That Orphan Saw'' has received numerous awards and has been reprinted many times in Iran. ''Eternal Fragrance'' ( fa, یکشنبه آخر, "Last Sunday") is a book written by Masoumeh Ramhormozi about the Iran–Iraq war (1980–88). Masoumeh, who was 14 at the time, was a social worker in a field hospital during the war. The English translation of ''The Last Sunday'', titled ''Eternal Fragrance'', was launched at the 66th Frankfurt Book Fair. This book discusses some of the roles of Iranian women who participated in the Iran-Iraq war. ''Eternal Fragrance'' was ranked the second book in the 9th Sacred Defense Book of the year awards. Battle Of Khorramshahr (1980)
The battle of Khorramshahr was a major engagement between Iraq and Iran during the Iran–Iraq War. The battle took place from 22 September to 10 November 1980. Widely known for its brutality and violent conditions, the city of Khorramshahr came to be referred to by the Iranians as ''Khuninshahr'' (, ). The battle lasted for 34 days, and saw an immense investment of Iraqi forces, far beyond what Iraqi war plans had envisaged. In turn, this battle enabled Iranian forces to stabilize the frontlines at Dezful, Ahvaz, and Susangerd, and move reinforcements to Khuzestan. At the time of the battle, Khorramshahr was mainly being defended by the heavily outnumbered Navy Commandos (''Takavaran''), some units of the 92nd Armoured Division, the Pasdaran, and civilian militia.
