Andrew Martin Walker (born March 25, 1955) is a retired professional basketball small forward who spent one season in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the New Orleans Jazz (1976–77). Andy Walker (football Manager)
Andy Walker was manager of English football team Middlesbrough F.C. from June 1910 to January 1911. Following Andy Aitken's departure in February 1909, Boro had been managed by secretary-manager John Gunter for sixteen months before Walker signed on 27 June 1910. Controversy was set to follow Walker throughout his brief time as manager. Soon after his appointment, he was in trouble for illegally approaching one of his former Airdrie players to try to convince him to sign for Boro. He was caught and banned for four weeks, while the club were fined £100. In December 1910, chairman Thomas Gibson-Poole, the local Conservative Party candidate, believed that if Middlesbrough beat Sunderland in the derby game at Ayresome Park two days prior to the election, it would improve his chances of winning. Andrew Francis Walker (born 6 April 1965 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former footballer, who played as a striker for several clubs in Scotland and England, including Motherwell, Celtic, Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield United, and Ayr United. He also made three full international appearances for Scotland. Since retiring as a player, Walker has become a television pundit. Playing career Walker started his professional career with Motherwell in 1984, helping the club to gain promotion before moving to Celtic in the summer of 1987 for a fee of £350,000. His first season at Celtic Park was hugely successful, as ''the Bhoys'' won the double in 1987–88, their centenary season, and Walker himself earned a first Scotland cap against Colombia. Andrew William Walker is an English footballer who plays for Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division side Phoenix Sports. Career Walker played professionally for both Colchester United and Exeter City and has also had a stint at Doncaster Rovers. Walker has also played for St Albans City, Tonbridge Angels, Wingate & Finchley and Bromley before joining Maidstone United in the summer of 2008. He spent a year at Maidstone, winning the Supporters Player of the Year in the process, before joining Billericay due to budget cuts at the Stones. He rejoined Maidstone on a month loan in February 2010 before the deal was made permanent in March 2010, and again won the Supporters Player of the Year for the 2010–11 season. In June 2011, Walker left Maidstone to join Cray Wanderers, with the player citing Maidstone's relegation to the Isthmian League Division One South as his reason for leaving the club. Andy Walker is a Canadian television personality and journalist. He is best known as having been a co-host alongside Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur of ''Call for Help'', a technology help television program on G4techTV Canada in Canada and the HOW TO Channel in Australia. His most popular segments on the show were what he called "food demos" which use household groceries like cheese and whip cream to show how complex technology mechanisms work. In one show he built a transistor out of cheddar cheese and tomato juice.
