Andy Neate
Andrew Neate (born 19 August 1974 in Aylesbury) was a British racing driver. Racing career After first racing in karting, he drove in Formula First in 1997. In 1999 he went on to the Formula Opel Europa Cup and a year later he drove in the Ford Fiesta Championship. He drove in some rounds of the Production class for the BTCC in a Team CAM Mitsubishi Carisma. For 2002 he moved up to the British GT Championship, driving a Marcos Mantis. In 2004 he joined the TOCA tour with both the Renault Clio Cup and the SEAT Cupra Championship. He got a drive in 2005, in the British Touring Car Championship for Team Nuts with Daniels Motorsport in a former works Vauxhall Astra Coupe. He only drove in three rounds, finishing eighteenth in the championship with one point. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series. 2008 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
The 2008 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain was the sixth season of the one-make championship. It consisted of 20 rounds, beginning on 29 March at Brands Hatch and finishing on 21 September at the same venue. The series supported the British Touring Car Championship throughout the season. Tim Harvey claimed his first title, having finished as runner-up to Richard Westbrook in 2004, Damien Faulkner in 2006 and James Sutton in 2007, Michael Caine finished the season as runner-up. Other front runners throughout the season were Sam Hancock, Tim Bridgman and Phil Quaife. Guest drivers Stefan Hodgetts, son of former British Touring Car champion Chris, and Nick Tandy were also victorious. Former BTCC race winner Paul O'Neill was another notable guest driver. Andrew Jordan (born 24 May 1989 in Sutton Coldfield) is a British auto racing driver, who has driven in the British Touring Car Championship. He was the 2013 British Touring Car Champion. Racing career Rallycross Jordan first started racing in rallycross. In 2003, he entered the Ford Rally Academy, and went on to win the Winter Junior Rallycross Championship. The next year, he was the BTRDA Junior Rallycross Champion, and won the title of best newcomer in the British Junior series. In 2005, he won four different titles, the Junior Rallycross title, the BTRDA Rallycross title, as well as the Super Series Junior and the Ginetta Winterseries titles. 2010 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 53rd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Thruxton Circuit on 4 April and finished after 30 races over ten events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. RML Chevrolet driver Jason Plato claimed the championship with a win in the penultimate race of the season leading home season long rival, Honda Racing Team's Matt Neal. On his way to his second BTCC crown, Plato claimed seven victories through the course of the season compared to Neal's five wins. The final victory margin was 31 points. The is a series of high-performance hatchback/ sedan models based on the Civic, developed and produced by Honda since September 1997. The first Civic Type R was the third model to receive Honda's Type R badge (after the NSX and Integra). Britcar 24 Hours
Britcar is an endurance sports car racing and touring car racing series in the United Kingdom. It was formed in 1997, as a result of a discussion in a Nürburgring bar between Willie Moore and James Tucker. Folklore has it that James Tucker and John Veness formed the organizing European Endurance & Racing Club (EERC) with a £10 note found on the ground. The foremost aim was the re-introduction of a 24-hour race in Britain. At the end of the 2015 season, James sold the Britcar rights to Hedley Cowell Events Ltd. For the 2016 season, Claire Hedley re-launched Britcar Endurance as the Dunlop Endurance Championship and Dunlop Trophy Championship. For 2020 the series was invited to support the FIA World Endurance Championship races at Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone. Vauxhall Astra
The Vauxhall Astra is a compact car/small family car (C-segment) that has been sold by Vauxhall since 1980. It is currently produced at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. For its first two generations, the nameplate was applied to right-hand drive versions of the Opel Kadett for use in the UK. Since 1991, Opel has used the Astra nameplate on its B/C-platform. SEAT Cupra Championship
The SEAT Cupra Championship was a one-make series that ran for six years between 2003 and 2008, the last five of which ran as a support package to the British Touring Car Championship. Originally the prize for winning the championship was a drive for the SEAT works team in the BTCC. From 2005 and onwards this changed to a £100,000 cheque. Throughout the championship's six years, 78 drivers competed.
