Andrew MacDonald (born September 7, 1986) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played with SC Bern in the National League (ice hockey), National League (NL). He has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Islanders and the Philadelphia Flyers, serving as an alternate captain for both franchises. Playing career Professional New York Islanders MacDonald was drafted in the sixth round, 160th overall, by the New York Islanders in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Andrew Macdonald (born 1966) is a Scottish film producer, best known for his collaborations with screenwriter John Hodge and director Danny Boyle, including ''Shallow Grave'' (1994), ''Trainspotting'' (1996), '' The Beach'' (2000) and ''28 Days Later'' (2002). Andrew "Duck" MacDonald (born September 17, 1953) is an American heavy metal/hard rock guitarist, who has played in several bands, the most well-known of which being Blue Cheer. He started playing in various bands around New York City. In 1980 he was asked to join Shakin' Street, replacing guitarist Ross the Boss. Shakin Street toured the U.S., supporting Black Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult on the Black and Blue tour. Following this and a tour of France, Shakin Street broke up. MacDonald met with ex-Elf/Rainbow members Gary Driscoll and Craig Gruber, and started the band Bible Black. They recorded the album ''Ground Zero'' with singer Jeff Fenholt. After this, MacDonald and Driscoll worked with Anthrax producer Carl Canedy to put together the album ''Thrasher'', with various other musicians. It was released in 1985. Andrew Archibald Macdonald, (14 February 1829 – 21 March 1912) served as the fourth Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island from 1 August 1884 to 2 September 1889, and was one of the fathers of Canadian Confederation. Andrew Paul MacDonald (born 30 November 1958) is a Canadian classical composer, guitarist, conductor, and music educator. His compositions have been performed in many countries and recorded by well-known musical ensembles. Early life and education Born in Guelph, Ontario, MacDonald studied music theory and piano with Rosemarie Hamilton and guitar with Alexandre Lagoya, Michael Lorimer, Ray Sealey and Manuel Lopez-Ramos. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario in 1981 where he was a pupil of Arsenio Girón and Alan Heard. He pursued graduate studies in music composition at the University of Michigan (UM) where he earned both a Master of Music (1982) and a Doctor of Musical Arts (1985). Andrew Macdonald (born Andrew Donald) (1757–1790), pen name Matthew Bramble, was a Scottish clergyman, poet and playwright. Early life and education Andrew MacDonald was born on 27 February 1757, the son of George Donald, a market gardener. The family lived at the foot of Leith Walk, in Leith, the busy port for Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth. Andrew Donald (as he was then known) attended the Grammar School in Leith and at an early age he demonstrated a flair for music. The Donald family was Episcopalian; the non-juror Scottish Episcopal Church at this time was heavily proscribed following its support for Bonnie Prince Charlie in the Jacobite rising a few years before. As of September 2013, he holds the record for the most X Games medals in vert skateboarding and won the World Cup Skateboarding competition eight times. For more than 30 years, he was one of the highest-profile individuals of the white nationalist movement.
