Andy Chrisman
Andy Chrisman is a former member of the American contemporary Christian music group 4Him, a solo Christian music recording artist and a worship leader. Background Chrisman originally met the other 4Him members when they sang together in Truth, a contemporary Christian vocal group founded in the late 1960s and directed by Roger Breland. Representatives from a record label heard the band a few times and signed them to become a Christian band. Their first single was "Where there is Faith". Chrisman left 4Him sometime in the 2000s to pursue a solo career. He released his first solo recording, ''One'', in 2004. He has also been a worship pastor at Church on the Move, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2008, along with the Church on the Move Praise Band, he released ''Beautiful Name'', a live worship CD. 4Him was a contemporary Christian group founded in 1990 in Mobile, Alabama, US. The group has ten Dove awards, a Grammy nomination and three certified gold albums to their credit. The group was inducted into Alabama's Music Hall of Fame, following the awarding of The Governor’s Achievement Award. Truth was an American Contemporary Christian group, active from 1971 to 2001. Formed by John Roger Breland, the ensemble's name stands for "Trust, Receive, Unchangeable, True Happiness n Jesus. It was initially composed of some 15 members who toured extensively year-round, eventually recording frequently as well. It eventually expanded to 22 members and continued touring regularly for thirty years, dissolving in 2001. In 2000, the group was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Beginnings The youth choir at Spring Hill Baptist in Mobile, Alabama, grew over the course of two years from 8 youth choir members to 140 members. Fueled by the inspiration the new Christian contemporary music that was sweeping the country, Roger began laying the groundwork for a new touring ensemble with vocals and a live band with horns.
