Andrés Gabriel Ferrada Moreira
Andrés Gabriel Ferrada Moreira (born 10 June 1969) is a Chilean archbishop of the Catholic Church. Since 8 September 2021 he has been the Secretary of the Congregation for the Clergy, where he had worked since 2018. From 2006 to 2018 he worked in his native diocese of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santiago de Chile, Santiago de Chile. Biography Andrés Gabriel Ferrada Moreira was born in Santiago, Santiago de Chile on 10 June 1969. He was ordained a priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santiago, Archdiocese of Santiago on 3 July 1999. He studied for several years in Rome and earned a doctorate in theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in 2006. In addition to pastoral assignments in that archdiocese, he was director of studies and prefect of theology at the Seminario Pontificio Mayor de los Santos Ángeles Custodios. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Teurnia (later Tiburnia) was a Roman city (''municipium''). Today its ruins lie in western Carinthia. In late antiquity it was also a bishop's see, and towards the end of Roman times it was mentioned as the capital of the province of Noricum mediterraneum. Fernando Karadima
The case of Fernando Karadima concerned the sexual abuse of minors in Chile, which became public in 2010. It raised questions about the responsibility and complicity of several Chilean bishops, including some of the country's highest-ranking Catholic prelates. By 2018, it attracted worldwide attention. Fernando Karadima (6 August 1930 – 26 July 2021), a Chilean Catholic priest, was accused as early as 1984 of sexually abusing adolescent boys. Years later, when a church investigator found the accusers credible, his superior, the Archbishop of Santiago de Chile, took no action against him. Karadima's accusers made their charges public in 2010.
