André Pretorius
André Stefan Pretorius (born 29 December 1978 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a former South African rugby union footballer that played professionally between 1999 and 2014. His usual position was at fly-half. He has been capped by his country's national side, the Springboks and was a member of the 2007 Rugby World Cup squad that was crowned world champions. He spent the first decade of his career (between 1999 and 2009) in Johannesburg, where he played Super Rugby and the (initially known as the ) and domestic South African provincial rugby for the , returning there for another spell in 2011. He also played with the and the and had spells at French clubs Toulon and Carcassonne. The Lions (known as the Sigma Lions for sponsorship reasons) is a South African professional rugby union team based in Johannesburg in the Gauteng province. They competed in the Super Rugby competition until 2020, and have competed in the United Rugby Championship since 2021. 2005 Tri Nations Series
The 2005 Tri Nations Series, an annual rugby union competition between the national teams of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, was the tenth in the series. The competition is organised by SANZAR, a consortium of the three countries' rugby federations.
