André Luiz Barreto Silva Lima (born 3 May 1985), commonly known as André Lima, is a Brazilian professional footballer who last played as a striker for Austin Bold. He plays as a striker. Club career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Lima was a youth player with Vasco da Gama until 2004 when he joined the senior team. Lima played for various teams in Brazil, as well as Germinal Beerschot in Belgium, before joining Botafogo. He was the joint top-scorer for Botafogo for the 2007 Copa do Brasil, in which they lost in the semifinal. On 28 August 2007, Lima signed a four year contract with Bundesliga side Hertha BSC with a transfer fee of €3.5 million. In Lima's first season, he played 16 games, scoring two goals. Lima was the third choice striker for Hertha coach Lucien Favre, and struggled in his first season. As a result, Lima was sent on loan to São Paulo on 28 June 2008 for a year long loan. André Rodolfo de Lima (born December 9, 1971, Araraquara), known as Andre Lima, is a Brazilian activist, lawyer and writer who works on issues of sustainable development, biodiversity protection and sustainable use of forests, and the right of peoples and populations indigenous and traditional in the Brazilian scenario. Early life and career Born in Araraquara, in the state of Sao Paulo, Andre Lima moved to Sao Paulo in early childhood, and lived there until 1999. During this period, Andre Lima graduated in law from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 1994, during which interned in the Public Ministry of Environment Capital of Sao Paulo and the Subcommittee on Environment of the OAB/SP. José André Soares Lima (born 10 May 1971), known as André Lima, is a Portuguese retired futsal player who played as a winger, and the current coach of Chinese club Guangzhou Lixun. A late bloomer, his career spanned 13 seasons, being best known for his performances at Benfica, also playing for Portugal national team on more than 100 occasions. Career Born in Porto, Lima started in football, arriving at Gondomar S.C. as an under-17, competing all the way until the first team, which he would represent in the Regional league, but also in the Terceira Divisão. His first experience in futsal was in 1995, at age 24, when he received an invitation for a tryout at Miramar.
