André Domingos
André Domingos da Silva (born 26 November 1972 in Santo André, São Paulo) is a Brazilian athlete who competed mainly in the 100 and 200 metres. He competed for Brazil in the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, United States in the 4 x 100 metre relay where he won the bronze medal with his teammates Arnaldo da Silva, Robson da Silva and Edson Ribeiro. Athletics At The 1992 Summer Olympics – Men's 100 Metres
The men's 100 metres was an event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. There were a total number of 81 participating athletes from 66 nations, with ten qualifying heats (three qualified plus two fastest losers). Each nation was limited to 3 athletes per rules in force since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The gold medal was won by Great Britain's Linford Christie, who had originally won the bronze medal in 1988 but was elevated to silver following the disqualification of original gold medalist Ben Johnson for using stanozolol. Silver went to Namibia's Frankie Fredericks, who also finished second in the 200 metres in Barcelona, while Dennis Mitchell of the United States of America won the bronze. Claudinei Quirino da Silva (born November 19, 1970 in Lençóis Paulista) is a retired Brazilian sprinter who competed primarily in 200 metres. __TOC__ Career He has been successful on regional and world level, and won a 2000 Olympic silver medal with the Brazilian 4 x 100 metres relay team. Vicente Lenílson de Lima (born June 4, 1977) is a Brazilian sprinter specializing in the 100 metres, 200 metres, and the 4×100 metres relay. De Lima represented Brazil at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The 37.90 seconds were not enough to beat the 37.61 seconds of the United States, but De Lima, Edson Ribeiro, André da Silva and Claudinei da Silva managed to finish before the Cuban team who timed 38.04 seconds. At the 2003 World Championships he and his teammates won the silver medal at the 4x100 metres relay. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing he competed at the 100 metres sprint and placed 3rd in his heat, just 0.06 after Usain Bolt and 0.02 after Daniel Bailey in a time of 10.26 seconds.
