André Cymone
André Cymone (born Andre Simon Anderson; June 27, 1958) is an American bassist, songwriter and record producer. Cymone was a bass guitarist for Prince's touring band, pre-Revolution. Cymone began a solo career in 1981. His song, "The Dance Electric" (written by Prince), reached #10 on the R&B charts in 1985. Cymone later co-wrote and produced hit songs for other acts, including his then wife Jody Watley's "Looking for a New Love" and " Real Love". Cymone's stage name comes from a variation of his middle name, Simon. Biography Early years Cymone was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. ''Swamp'' is the debut and only solo studio album from English songwriter-producer Phil Thornalley, released in 1988 by MCA Records, MCA. The album's title was named after Thornalley's own private studio Swamp Studios, located in Northwest London. ''Swamp'' was produced by Thornalley, with André Cymone and Tom Bailey (musician), Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins producing three tracks each with him. Phil Thornalley
Philip Thornalley (born 5 January 1960) is an English songwriter-producer who has worked in the music industry since 1978. He is perhaps best known for co-writing (with Scott Cutler and Anne Preven) the song " Torn" (made famous by Natalie Imbruglia's cover version, which he also produced) and the UK number one hits " Mama Do" and " Boys and Girls" for Pixie Lott. He also produced The Cure's 1982 album ''Pornography'' and was later their bass player for eighteen months, producing and performing the distinctive double bass line on their 1983 single " The Love Cats". Pretty Poison is an American dance group based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Group members are Jade Starling (lead vocalist); Whey Cooler (keyboardist and guitarist); and Kaya Pryor (percussionist). Thomas Hays was also a guitarist as was Lou Franco. Pretty Poison is best known for their hit "Catch Me (I'm Falling)", a top 10 U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 hit in 1987.
