André 3000
André Lauren Benjamin (born May 27, 1975), better known as André 3000, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is best known for being a part of southern hip hop duo Outkast alongside fellow rapper Big Boi. Benjamin has also acted in films and television series such as ''Families'', ''The Shield'', ''Be Cool'', '' Revolver'', ''Semi-Pro'', '' High Life'', '' Four Brothers'', and in the lead role of Jimi Hendrix in '' All Is by My Side''. He currently plays Fredwynn on the AMC series ''Dispatches from Elsewhere''. He is also known for his Cartoon Network animated series '' Class of 3000'' (2006–2008). ''Revolver'' is a 2005 action thriller film co-written and directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, Vincent Pastore and André Benjamin. The film centres on a revenge-seeking confidence trickster whose weapon is a universal formula that guarantees victory to its user, when applied to any game or confidence trick. This is the fourth feature film by Ritchie and his third to centre on crime and professional criminals, but also has a strong philosophy and Buddhist moral content. It was released in UK theatres on 22 September 2005. The series follows superstar and music teacher Sunny Bridges (voiced by 3000), who teaches a group of students at Atlanta, Georgia's Westley School of Performing Arts.
