Andrzej Jakimowski
Andrzej Jakimowski (born 17 August 1963) is a Polish film director, writer and producer, best known for directing the films ''Squint Your Eyes ( pl, Zmruż oczy)'' and ''Tricks (2007 film), Tricks ( pl, Sztuczki)''. He is an alumnus of Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice. Film career ''Squint Your Eyes'' ''Squint Your Eyes'' is Andrzej Jakimowski's 2002 drama about a ten-year-old girl named Mała (The Little One). Mała runs away from the affluence of her parents home to the abandoned farm of her former teacher, Jasiek. Squint Your Eyes
Squinting is the action of looking at something with partially closed eyes. Squinting is most often practiced by people who suffer from Refractive error, refractive errors of the eye who either do not have or are not using their glasses. Squinting helps momentarily improve their Visual perception, eyesight by slightly changing the shape of the eye to make it rounder, which helps light properly reach the Fovea centralis, fovea. Squinting also decreases the amount of light entering the eye, making it easier to focus on what the observer is looking at by removing rays of light which enter the eye at an angle and would need to otherwise be focused by the observer's faulty Lens (anatomy), lens and cornea. The Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School (also known as ''Katowice Film School'') is a polish film and television school established in 1978 and based in Katowice, Poland. The All-Polish Youth ( pl, Młodzież Wszechpolska) refers to two inter-linked Polish far-right ultranationalist youth organizations, with a Catholic-nationalist philosophy. Its agenda declares that its aim is "''to raise Polish youth in a Catholic and patriotic spirit''". The inter-war incarnation was created in 1922 as part of the National Democracy movement, and was modelled after the inter-war fascist movement Falanga. During World War II it operated underground and was clamped down on the break of 1945/1946 by the Communist authorities. The present incarnation was created on December 2, 1989.
