Andrus Värnik
Andrus Värnik (born 27 September 1977) is a retired Estonian track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He is a World Champion, having 2005 World Championships in Athletics – Men's javelin throw, won gold in 2005 World Championships in Athletics, 2005. His personal best throw of 87.83 metre, m, set in 2003, was the List of Estonian records in athletics, Estonian record for 15 years. Career Värnik won his first international medal, a silver medal, in the 2003 World Championships in Athletics, throwing 85.17 m. The next year he finished sixth in the Athletics at the 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's javelin throw, javelin contest at the 2004 Summer Olympics, Olympic Games with the result 83.25 m. Antsla
Antsla is a town in Võru County, southern Estonia, it is the administrative centre of Antsla Parish. Antsla borough was renamed town of third rank by Konstantin Päts from 1 May 1938. The kroon (sign: KR; code: EEK) was the official currency of Estonia for two periods in history: 1928–1940 and 1992–2011. It debuted on 8 October 2006, and it became a popular television show in Estonia. It is based on the British reality show '' Strictly Come Dancing''. The show introduces eight Estonian celebrities paired with professional ballroom dancers who each week compete to impress a panel of judges and the viewing public to survive potential elimination. Tero Pitkämäki
Tero Kristian Pitkämäki (born 19 December 1982) is a Finnish retired track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He is a World Champion, having won gold in 2007. His personal best throw of 91.53 m, set in 2005, ranks him eleventh on the overall list. Early life Pitkämäki was born on 19 December 1982. He is from the rural village of Ahonkylä in Ilmajoki. His interest in the javelin throw began at the age of eight. He was inspired by watching the 1991 World Championships, where Kimmo Kinnunen and Seppo Räty won both gold and silver for Finland. Afterwards, Pitkämäki competed in a youth competition in Koskenkorva (Ilmajoki), where he threw the javelin 22 metres, 10 metres ahead of the runner-up. He regularly practiced throwing at home, once piercing his neighbour's roof.
