Andro Krstulović Opara
Andro Krstulović Opara () (born 22 May 1967) is a Croatian politician and art historian who served as Mayor of Split from 2017 to 2021. Early life and education Krstulović Opara was born on 22 May 1967 in Split where he finished elementary and high school, after which he enrolled at the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences from which he graduated in art history and archaeology. In 1993 he graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and in 1995 from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Krstulović Opara is currently enrolled in the doctoral program Building heritage at the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture. The Mayor of the City of Split, Croatia, Split ( hr, Gradonačelnik Grada Splita), colloquially the ''Poteštat'' (derived from "''podestà''"), is the highest official of the Croatian city of Split, Croatia, Split. 1990 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in the Socialist Republic of Croatia between 22 and 23 April 1990; the second round of voting occurred on 6–7 May. These were the first free, multi-party elections held in Croatia since 1938, and the first such elections for the Croatian Parliament since 1913. Voters elected candidates for 356 seats in the tri-cameral parliament; the turnout in the first round ranged between 76.56% and 84.54% for various parliamentary chambers. In the second round, the turnout was 74.82%. 2017 Croatian Local Elections
The first round of the 2017 Croatian local elections was held on 21 May and the second round, where necessary, on 4 June. All seats of the county prefects, city and municipal mayors and members of county, municipal and city councils were up for election. In total, there were 9,576 open seats contested by 47,601 candidates. Voters were electing: 20 county prefects, 128 city mayors, 428 municipal mayors, 51 deputy county prefects, 195 deputy city mayors, 440 deputy municipal mayors, 63 deputy city and municipal mayors elected by the national minorities, 836 county councilors, 2,226 city councilors and 5,152 municipal councilors. 3,719,182 voters had the right to vote, which was 39,500 fewer than at the previous local elections. 2016 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 11 September 2016, with all 151 seats in the Croatian Parliament up for election. The elections were preceded by a successful motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković and his cabinet on 16 June 2016, with 125 MPs voting in favour of the proposal. A subsequent attempt by the Patriotic Coalition to form a new parliamentary majority, with Minister of Finance Zdravko Marić as Prime Minister, failed and the Parliament voted to dissolve itself on 20 June 2016. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović (; born 29 April 1968) is a Croatian politician and diplomat who served as President of Croatia from 2015 to 2020. She was the first woman to be elected to the office since the first multi-party elections in 1990 and independence from Yugoslavia in 1991.
