Andrews is a former suburb of the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. History Andrews was created as a suburb in 1981 and named after a family who owned a large amount of the land in the area. In 2002, Andrews was merged with Stephens, Queensland, Stephens and a portion of Robina, Queensland, Robina, to form the new suburb of Varsity Lakes and the West Burleigh part of Burleigh Heads. Andrews Avenue (formerly and still commonly known as Nichols Road) is a major east-west thoroughfare in Metro Manila, Philippines that functions as a metropolitan linkage between Pasay and Taguig. It runs underneath the NAIA Expressway almost parallel to Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) to the north connecting Roxas Boulevard and Domestic Road near Bay City with South Luzon Expressway near Newport City. It has an arterial extension continuing northeast to 5th Avenue and McKinley Road in Bonifacio Global City known as Lawton Avenue. Henry Cranke Andrews
Henry Cranke Andrews (floruit, fl. 1794 – 1830), was an English botanist, botanical artist and engraver. As he always published as Henry C. Andrews, and due to difficulty finding records, the C. was often referred to as Charles, until a record of his marriage registration was found in 2017. He lived in Knightsbridge, and was married to Anne Kennedy, the daughter of Lee and Kennedy, John Kennedy of Hammersmith, a nurseryman who assisted Andrews in the descriptions of the plants he illustrated. He was an accomplished and unusual botanical artist, in that he was not only the artist but also the engraver, colourist, and publisher of his books in an era when most artists were only employed to draw plates. Yorkshire Traction was a bus operator in Yorkshire that operated from 1902 until 2005. History In March 1902 the Barnsley & District Electric Traction Company Limited was formed. ''The History of the Adventures of Joseph Andrews and of his Friend Mr. Abraham Adams'', was the first full-length novel by the English author Henry Fielding to be published and among the early novels in the English language. Andrews is a rural locality in the Northern Areas Council of South Australia, located on the Hill River. Its boundaries were formalised in April 2001 for the long established name for the area. The district, which is primarily dedicated to primary production, mainly grain farming, is in the Spalding Ward of the council. The township has bulk grain handling and storage facilities as well as limited sporting and community facilities. The Hill River Road and the Hill River run north–south through the locality, while Andrews Road runs east–west, connecting the Goyder Highway with RM Williams Way. In the , the population of Andrews was too low to separately report; it was included in that of adjacent Spalding.
