Andrew Weiss is an American musician, composer, audio engineer and Grammy-winning record producer. Life and career Born in Chicago, Weiss spent most of his youth growing up in central New Jersey where he later started playing bass with local bands while attending Princeton High School. In 1982 he teamed up with William Tucker (musician), William Tucker (guitar) and high school buddy Sim Cain (drums) to form Regressive Aid, an instrumental new wave band that released a 4-song EP in 1983 and a 6-song LP the following year. Around this time, Weiss began his experimentations with electronic music and recording. This led to a collaboration with his friend Jeff Rusnack, partnersinWonder, and together they founded Bird'o'Pray Records, a cassette only label that featured electronic and alternative music, including the first releases by the New Hope, Pa. duo Ween. William Tucker (musician)
William Tucker (1961 – May 14, 1999) was an American guitarist whose credits included work with Ministry (band), Ministry, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Pigface, Chemlab, and Chris Connelly (musician), Chris Connelly. He grew up in New Jersey, where he formed Regressive Aid with Andrew Weiss (guitarist), Andrew Weiss and Sim Cain (both later of Gone (band), Gone and the Rollins Band). He also taught the guitar to locals, one of whom was Dean Ween, Mickey "Dean Ween" Melchiondo of the alternative band Ween. After the release of the single "(Ever Since I Was Young) I Love the Sound of Machines" with the Swinging Pistons in 1986, he came to the attention of Ministry's Al Jourgensen, who invited him to join his band for their "The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste" tour in 1989. Eric Reed Boucher (born June 17, 1958), known professionally as Jello Biafra, is an American singer, spoken word artist and politician. He is the former lead singer and songwriter for the San Francisco punk rock band Dead Kennedys. Initially active from 1979 to 1986, Dead Kennedys were known for rapid-fire music topped with Biafra's sardonic lyrics and biting social commentary, delivered in his "unique quiver of a voice".
