Andrew Parmley
Sir Andrew Charles Parmley, (born 17 October 1956) is Principal of the Harrodian School in Barnes, London, and served as Lord Mayor of London for 2016–17. Early life Born in Lancashire, the third of three sons, Parmley was educated at Blackpool Grammar School. He displayed an early interest in music and started playing the organ, passing the ARCO at 16 and the FRCO aged 18, before winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music. He then studied for a Master's at Manchester University, before pursuing further studies at Royal Holloway College, London, and Jesus College, Cambridge. Career Parmley has been Director of Music at Forest School near Snaresbrook, and South Hampstead High School, and then at the Grey Coat Hospital in Westminster. Sir Andrew is now Principal of the Harrodian School. He has also been Director of the Royal College of Organists since 2018. Jeffrey Evans, 4th Baron Mountevans
Jeffrey Richard de Corban Evans, 4th Baron Mountevans, (born 13 May 1948) is a London shipbroker and British hereditary peer, who served as Lord Mayor of London from 2015 to 2016. Lord Mountevans was elected a City Alderman in 2007, served as Sheriff in 2012–13 and was Lord Mayor for 2015–16. He sits in the House of Lords as an hereditary peer, having been elected in the Crossbench Hereditary Peers' By-election of July 2015, following the William Lloyd George, 3rd Viscount Tenby's retirement. Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL), formally incorporated as Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, is a public research university and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It has six schools, 21 academic departments and approximately 10,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students from over 100 countries. The campus is located west of Egham, Surrey, from central London. The Worshipful Company of Musicians is one of the Livery Companies of the City of London. Its history dates back to at least 1350. Originally a specialist guild for musicians, its role became an anachronism in the 18th century, when the centre of music making in London moved from the City to the West End, and for more than a century it was a general guild for figures in the City, with no specific musical role. In the late 19th century, the musical element was revived, and the modern Company promotes all aspects of the art and science of music. Court Of Aldermen
The Court of Aldermen forms part of the senior governance of the City of London Corporation. It comprises twenty-five aldermen of the City of London, presided over by the Lord Mayor (becoming senior alderman during his year of office). The Court was originally responsible for the entire administration of the City, but most of its responsibilities were subsumed by the Court of Common Council in the fourteenth century. The Court of Aldermen meets nine times a year in the Aldermen's Court Room at Guildhall. The few remaining duties of the Court include approving people for Freedom of the City and approving the formation of new livery companies, appointing the Recorder of London and acting as the Verderers of Epping Forest. Vintry
Vintry is one of the 25 wards of the City of London. Located within it is the City end of Southwark Bridge and, adjacent to that, the hall of the Worshipful Company of Vintners, the City livery company for the wine trade. The ward's boundary is formed by Cannon Street to the north, College Hill and Cousin Lane to the east, the River Thames to the south, and its western edge follows an unusual line along part of Little Trinity Lane, Lambeth Hill and Distaff Lane. The Christopher Wren-designed church St James Garlickhythe is within Vintry ward, near Mansion House tube station. In medieval times, French wine and garlic were landed at the nearby ''Garlickhythe'' ('garlic dock'). Court Of Common Council
The Court of Common Council is the primary decision-making body of the City of London Corporation. It meets nine times per year. Most of its work is carried out by committees. Elections are held at least every four years. It is largely composed of independent members although the number of Labour Party Common Councilmen in 2017 grew to five out of a total of 100. Venerable Order Of Saint John
The Order of St John, short for Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem (french: l'ordre très vénérable de l'Hôpital de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem) and also known as St John International, is a British royal order of chivalry constituted in 1888 by royal charter from Queen Victoria and dedicated to St John the Baptist. The order traces its origins back to the Knights Hospitaller in the Middle Ages, which was later known as the Order of Malta. The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, also known as the Information Technologists' Company, is one of the livery companies of the City of London. The company was granted livery status by the Court of Aldermen on 7 January 1992, becoming the 100th livery company. It received its Royal Charter on 17 June 2010 from Prince Edward.
