Andrew Neiderman
Andrew Neiderman (born October 26, 1940) is a best-selling American novelist. In 1987, he became the ghost writer for V. C. Andrews following her death in 1986. He formerly taught English at Fallsburg Jr./Sr. High School, in upstate New York. Neiderman is arguably best known as the author of ''The Devil's Advocate'', later adapted into a film starring Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino, and Charlize Theron, and directed by Taylor Hackford. Neiderman also adapted the novel ''Rain'' into a film, based on a series of novels released under Andrews's name. Neiderman wrote the stage adaptation of ''Flowers in the Attic'' based on the novel by V.C. Andrews, published online in 2014. The world premiere was produced in New Orleans, Louisiana, in August 2015 by See 'Em On Stage: A Production Company and was directed by Christopher Bentivegna. ''The Baby Squad'' is a dystopian thriller by Andrew Neiderman first published in 2003. Set in the United States in the not-too-distant future, the novel envisages a future American society where giving birth to children is illegal and where only few women are biologically able to reproduce. Plot introduction Perfect babies are created in laboratories outside the woman's womb and then put up for adoption. When the wife of an aspiring local politician becomes pregnant she reluctantly confides in her husband and is secretly sent to an institution where she can spend the remaining months of her pregnancy and give birth to her baby. However, she feels imprisoned and threatened there and starts doubting her husband's good intentions. ''Tender Loving Care'' is an interactive movie originally released on August 12, 1998 by Aftermath Media. It is a psychological thriller starring Michael Esposito, Marie Caldare, Beth Tegarden, and John Hurt as Dr. Turner. It was written and directed by David Wheeler and produced by Rob Landeros, who also designed the interactive features. The game was originally produced with the intention of releasing the game under the Trilobyte label, but Landeros was fired from the company before it was released.
