Andrew Robert McIntosh, Baron McIntosh of Haringey, PC (30 April 1933 – 27 August 2010) was a British Labour politician and last elected Principal of the Working Men's College. Personal life McIntosh was educated at Haberdasher Aske's Hampstead School, the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, Jesus College, Oxford and Ohio State University. McIntosh was married to the academic Naomi Sargant. McIntosh died in 2010, aged 77, and was survived by two sons and a stepson. He is buried in a family grave in Highgate Cemetery. Politics He served as a councillor in the London Borough of Haringey (1964–68). He represented Tottenham on the Greater London Council (1973–83). When Labour won control of the GLC in 1981, McIntosh was leader of the Labour group. A centrist, McIntosh narrowly beat left-winger Ken Livingstone for the leadership. Andrew John McIntosh (born 5 April 1955) is an Australian politician. He was a Liberal Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1999 to 2014, representing the seat of Kew. Early life McIntosh was born in Melbourne, Victoria, and raised in North Balwyn, attending Bellevue Primary School. He later attended Melbourne Grammar School 1965–73. He received a Bachelor of Economics in 1978 from The Australian National University, a Bachelor of Laws in 1981 from the University of Tasmania, and a Certificate of Mediation in 1998 from Bond University. He began practising as a lawyer in 1982, and was called to the bar in 1985. He was an Associate of the former Chief Justice of Victoria. He is married with one son. Andrew McIntosh (born 17 July 1980) is a Papua New Guinean cricketer. McIntosh is a right-handed batsman who bowls leg break. He was born in Madang, Madang Province. McIntosh made his debut for Papua New Guinea in the 2011 World Cricket League Division Two. It was in this tournament that he made his List A debut against Bermuda.
