Andrew Masai
Andrew Masai (born 13 December 1960) is a Kenyan former long-distance runner who competed in road running and cross country running events. He was one of Kenya's best cross country runners in the late 1980s, taking six team gold medals at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. His best individual finish at that competition was sixth in 1987. He was key to the rise of Kenya in cross country, helping the nation to its first team title and scoring points which helped establish an unbeaten streak in the team race which lasted from 1986 to 2003.Gains, Paul (2003-03-01) Masterful Masai ''Running Times''. Stramilano
The Stramilano is an annual athletics event which takes place in Milan, Italy in spring. The event comprises three parts: the Stramilano International Half Marathon (a professional road running competition over 21.0975 km), the La Stramilano dei 50.000 ( en, Stramilano of the 50,000; a 10 km non-competitive run/walk open to the general public) and the Stramilanina – a 5 km event for younger people. The event was conceived in 1972 by the Italian Renato Cepparo. The idea took shape after the unexpected success of the Milan-Proserpio walk, a 43-km, "non-competitive" walk which Cepparo organized at the beginning with a handful of friends and then in an "open" format for anyone who wanted to take part starting from 18 September 1971. A half marathon is a road running event of —half the distance of a marathon. The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of , usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes. Indianapolis Half Marathon
The 500 Festival Mini-Marathon (also known as the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon for sponsorship reasons) is an annual road half marathon usually held the first Saturday in May in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The race began in 1977 and became an official 500 Festival event in 1979. The course currently starts in downtown Indianapolis, then heads west toward Speedway. Paris Half Marathon (''French: Semi-marathon de Paris''), known as the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris for sponsorship reasons, is an annual half marathon held every March in Paris, France since 1993. Kenya's Stanley Biwott is the men's course record holder, with his winning time of 59:44 from the 2012 race.
