Andrew Loke
Andrew Ter Ern Loke is a Singaporean Christian theologian and philosopher. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Hong Kong Baptist University. He has made contributions to the fields of Systematic Theology, Science and Religion, Philosophy of Religion, and New Testament studies. He is a proponent of the Kalam Cosmological Argument for the existence of God. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Centre for Christian Apologetics. Early Background and Career After graduating from Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Loke worked as a medical doctor. He completed his M.A in philosophy at Biola University and Ph.D. in Theology at King’s College London under the supervision of Alister McGrath. Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a publicly funded tertiary liberal arts education, liberal arts institution with a Christian ethics, Christian education heritage. It was established as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of American Baptists, who provided both operating and construction funds and personnel to the school in its early years. It became a public college in 1983. Hong Kong Centre for Christian Apologetics (commonly referred to as HKCCA) is a Christian educational institution founded in 2017 by a group of professors, lecturers and businessmen in Hong Kong. The centre offers certificate courses on Christian Apologetics and also promotes apologetic events hosting prominent apologists. Graham Oppy
Graham Robert Oppy (born 1960) is an Australian philosopher whose main area of research is the philosophy of religion. He currently holds the posts of Professor of Philosophy and Associate Dean of Research at Monash University and serves as CEO of the Australasian Association of Philosophy, Chief Editor of the ''Australasian Philosophical Review'', Associate Editor of the ''Australasian Journal of Philosophy'', and serves on the editorial boards of ''Philo'', ''Philosopher's Compass'', '' Religious Studies'', and '' Sophia''. Shabir Ally
Shabir Ally is a Canadian preacher. As of 2020 he was the President of the Islamic Information & Dawah Centre International in Toronto. He is best known for his contextual interpretation of the Qur'anic verses, and justification in similar expressions within the Christian Bible. A study concluded that Ally has contributed to the da’wah field by adopting preaching methods targeted at both the Muslim population and the non-Muslim population. Kalam Cosmological Argument
The Kalam cosmological argument is a modern formulation of the cosmological argument for the existence of God. It is named after the ''Kalam'' (medieval Islamic scholasticism) from which its key ideas originated. William Lane Craig was principally responsible for giving new life to the argument, due to his '' The Kalām Cosmological Argument'' (1979), among other writings.
