Andrew Robertson Leslie was a Scottish amateur footballer who played as a wing half in the Scottish League for Queen's Park. Personal life As of 1911, Leslie was an apprentice engineer. Leslie served as a lance corporal in the Highland Light Infantry during the First World War and was wounded in August 1916. Andrew Brooke Leslie (born December 26, 1957) is a retired Canadian Forces lieutenant-general and politician who served as the chief of the Land Staff from 2006 to 2010 and as a member of Parliament representing the riding of Orléans in the House of Commons, from the 2015 federal election to the 2019 election. Background Andrew Leslie was born in Ottawa in 1957. His father was Brigadier-General Edward Murray Dalziel Leslie (né McNaughton), commander of 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1 RCHA) during the Korean War. Andrew Leslie (shipbuilder)
Andrew Leslie (1818–1894) was a Scottish shipbuilder. Born in 1818 in Garth, Dunrossness, Shetland to Christian Allison and Robert Leslie, Leslie later moved to Aberdeen. In 1853 Leslie relocated to Hebburn in North-East England where he founded the shipbuilding company A. Leslie and Company. When Andrew Leslie retired in 1886, A. Leslie and Company merged with the locomotive manufacturer R and W Hawthorn to create Hawthorn Leslie and Company. In Hebburn, Leslie largely funded St. Andrew's Presbyterianism, Presbyterian Church, which opened in 1873, and built other buildings including homes for his workers, schools for their children. He was married to Margaret Leslie. Leslie also lived at Coxlodge Hall in Gosforth He died on 27 January 1894 aged 75. He is buried in a family plot at Rosebank Cemetery in Edinburgh, against the west wall, near the north-west corner. References

Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes (before 1541–1611) was a Scottish nobleman. Early life He was the son of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes, and his third wife Agnes Somerville, daughter of Sir John Somerville of Cambusnethan and Elizabeth Carmichael. He succeeded his father as 5th Earl in 1558, as his elder half-brothers Norman Leslie and William Leslie had forfeited their rights by having been implicated in the murder of Cardinal Beaton in 1546. Career Leslie took an active part with the Lords of the Congregation, first against the queen-mother, Mary of Guise, when she was regent of Scotland, and afterwards against Mary, Queen of Scots in opposing her marriage with Lord Darnley, and in being part of the plot to murder David Rizzio. He was, however, one of the peers who acquitted Bothwell of Darnley's murder, and went over to the side of the queen. Andrew Roy Leslie (born 10 November 1944) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. A number eight, he represented Wellington domestically and captained the All Black at international level.
