Andrew Kennedy (American Politician)
Andrew Kennedy (July 24, 1810 – December 31, 1847) was an American lawyer and politician who served three terms as a U.S. Representative from Indiana from 1841 to 1847. He was a cousin of Case Broderick. Biography Born in Dayton, Ohio, Kennedy moved with his parents to a farm on the Indian reserve near Lafayette, Indiana. He soon afterward moved to Connersville, Indiana, where he became a blacksmith's apprentice. Kennedy attended the common schools and later studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1833 and commenced practice in Connersville. Kennedy then moved to Muncie (then Muncytown or Muncietown), Indiana, in 1834 and continued the practice of law. He served as member of the Indiana House of Representatives in 1835 and served in the Indiana Senate in 1838. Andrew Fitzgarfield Kennedy (born December 22, 1965) is a retired American-Jamaican basketball player, most notable for his years playing in the Israeli league, with Hapoel Galil Elyon's successful teams of the early 1990s. He was the 1996 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. Biography Kennedy attended Calabar High School in Kingston, Jamaica in 1978-83, and participated in a number of sports including table tennis, athletics, and basketball. He was an above-average student, and regularly won awards for excellence and school citizenship. He was drawn to basketball, where he played on the B and later A team. Andrzej Kowerski (; 18 May 1912 in Łabunie, Zamość County, Lublin Province, eastern Poland – 8 December 1988 in Munich) was a Polish Army officer and SOE agent during World War II. From 1941 he used the ''nom de guerre'' Andrew Kennedy. Life Before the war Kowerski lost a part of one leg in a hunting accident. During the German invasion of Poland in September 1939, Lieutenant Kowerski fought as a member of Poland's 10th Motorized Cavalry Brigade, commanded by Col. Andrew Kennedy (born 10 January 1975) is an English cricketer. Kennedy is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. He was born in Colchester, Essex. Kennedy represented the Essex Cricket Board in 3 List A matches. These came against the Sussex Cricket Board in the 1st round of the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was held in 2001, the Surrey Cricket Board in the 2nd round of the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was held in 2002, and against Essex in the 3rd round of the same competition which was played in 2003. Andrew Kennedy (born 4 November 1949) is a former English cricketer. Kennedy was a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. Kennedy made his first-class debut for Lancashire in the 1970 season against the touring Jamaicans. Kennedy would go on to represent the club 149 times in first-class matches from 1970 to 1982, where he would score 6,232 runs at a batting average of 28.19, with 6 centuries and 26 half centuries and a high score of 180. Kennedy made his List-A debut for Lancashire against Sussex in the 1972 John Player League. During his time with Lancashire, he would also go onto win the 1975 Gillette Cup when Lancashire defeated Middlesex and in the same season he won the Young-Cricketer-of-the-Year award. Andrew Kennedy (born 26 May 1977) is an English tenor. He was born in Ashington, Northumberland, England, was a chorister at Durham Cathedral, attended Uppingham School, and then was a choral scholar at King's College, Cambridge. Further study at the Royal College of Music was followed by a place on the Vilar Young Artists programme at the Royal Opera House where he performed many solo principal roles.
