Andrew Johnston (critic)
Andrew Johnston (1968–2008) was a film and TV critic. He wrote primarily for ''Time Out New York'' and ''Us Weekly'' and was also editor of the "Time In" section of ''Time Out New York''. Biography Andrew Johnston was born in Washington, D.C., and spent most of his youth in Charlottesville, Virginia, apart from the five years he was a student at the Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education in Puducherry, India. After returning from India he graduated from Tandem Friends School in Charlottesville, Virginia, and subsequently earned a B.A in English from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and a M.S.in Journalism from Columbia University. Andrew died from cancer in New York City in 2008. Andrew Johnston (23 May 1835 – 28 February 1922) was a Liberal Party politician in England. Andrew Thomas Johnston (born 18 February 1989) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has one win on the European Tour, which came at the 2016 Open de España. Known affectionately as 'Beef' since his youth, he has carried the nickname into his professional career, and is a popular character amongst the crowd. Personal life Johnston, who is of partial Jamaican descent, was born in London in 1989 to a working-class family. His father worked as a bus driver and his mother as a school dinner lady. He started playing golf at the age of four with his father and siblings in a local chip and putt course, and later joined the North Middlesex Golf Club, which is still his home club today. Andrew Johnston ( – 24 August 1862) was an abolitionist and Whig (British political faction), Whig politician in Scotland. His wife was Priscilla Buxton. Life Johnston was elected in 1831 as a Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for the Anstruther Burghs (UK Parliament constituency), Anstruther District of Burghs, and when that constituency was abolished by the Reform Act 1832 he was elected at the 1832 United Kingdom general election, 1832 general election for the new St Andrews Burghs (UK Parliament constituency), St Andrews District of Burghs. He held that seat until he stood down from the British House of Commons, House of Commons at the 1837 United Kingdom general election, 1837 general election. Andrew Johnston (born 23 September 1994) is a British singer who rose to fame when he appeared as a boy soprano on the second series of the UK television talent show ''Britain's Got Talent'' in 2008. Although he did not win the competition, he received a contract to record with Syco Music, a label owned by the ''Britain's Got Talent'' judge Simon Cowell. Johnston's debut album, '' One Voice'', was released in September of the same year, and reached number four on the UK Albums Chart. Although Johnston originally performed as a treble, his voice has since matured to baritone, and he is now a member of the National Youth Choir. Andrew Johnston (born 14 August 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was a Development Coach at the Gold Coast Football Club. He was the coach in the TAC Cup for Calder Cannon under 18 for 3 years ( 15 - 17 ). Johnston coached at St. Bernards football club in the VAFA as an assistant for a brief period of time before departing from the club at the end of 2019. The Dangerfields
The Dangerfields are a punk rock/ heavy metal band based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in 2000. Fronted by drummer and lead vocalist Andrew Griswold, the band has gone through many line-up changes. They have released one album and four EPs, and played more than 800 live gigs, including playing their 666th gig on 06/06/06. They have toured with many notable bands, including The Dwarves, Zeke, The Damned, Misfits, The Exploited, Flogging Molly and Stiff Little Fingers. In May 2004, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden invited them to perform with him at his BBC 6 Music Road Show at Belfast's Mandela Hall alongside Therapy?. Bands to have played their debut gigs opening for The Dangerfields include And So I Watch You from Afar and Black Spiders.
