Andrew Cox
Andrew Cox (born 10 August 1964) is an Australian former rowing coxswain and former Sydney first grade rugby union head coach. As a cox he was an U23 Australian national champion and later steered Australia's senior lightweight eight at the 1987 World Rowing Championships. Club and state rowing Cox was educated at The King's School, Parramatta. In his senior year of 1982 he coxed that school's 1st VIII to victory at the AAGPS Head of the River. Cox first made state selection in the New South Wales youth eight which contested the Noel Wilkinson trophy at the Interstate Regatta within the 1983 Australian Rowing Championships. He coxed the New South Wales youth eight again in 1984. In 1988 he made the New South Wales men's senior eight which contested the King's Cup at the Interstate Regatta. Andrew Dollman Cooper (born 23 December 1964) is a former Australian Olympic Champion and World Champion rower. He is a national champion, dual Olympian and two-time World Champion who achieved success as a member of Australia's "Oarsome Foursome" in 1991 and 1992. Club and state rowing Cooper's senior rowing was with the Mercantile Rowing Club in Melbourne and he was selected to train at the Australian Institute of Sport from 1986. Cooper competed at the National Regatta in Mercantile colours in coxless pair and in coxed and coxless four from 1986 to 1988 and in 1990. He won Australian national titles at those Australian Rowing Championships in 1986 in a coxless four; and in 1990 in both the coxed and coxless four with other members of the Oarsome Foursome. The Order of Australia is an honour that recognises Australian citizens and other persons for outstanding achievement and service. It was established on 14 February 1975 by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, on the advice of the Australian Government. The West Harbour Rugby Football Club is a team in the Shute Shield, the premier club rugby union football competition in New South Wales.
