Andrew Aitken (rugby Union)
Andrew Douglas Aitken (born 10 June 1968) is a South African former rugby union player. Playing career Aitken made his senior provincial debut for in 1988 and in 1990 was part of the Currie Cup winning team. From 1991 to 1994 he played for and also captained the team. During 1993 he had the opportunity to further his studies at the University of Oxford and during his time there, he played in the annual varsity match against University of Cambridge. After also playing for Watsonian in Edinburgh he returned to Western Province in 1997, helping the team to win the 1997 Currie Cup. Aitken made his test debut for the Springboks as a replacement, against at Parc des Princes in Paris. His first start for the Springboks, was the following week against at Twickenham. He played a further five Test matches for the Springboks and was on the winning side each time. He also played in two tour matches. Andy Aitken (footballer, Born 1877)
Andrew Aitken (27 April 1877 – 15 February 1955) was a Scottish footballer who was one of the early game's most prominent players. After playing for local Ayrshire sides, he signed for English Second Division club Newcastle United in 1895, then in only their third league season. He helped the club to promotion in 1898 and was a key member of the side as they established themselves in the First Division, captaining the ''Magpies'' from 1899 to 1905. During his time at the club, Aitken – nicknamed 'Daddler' – helped them win their first League Championship in the 1904–05 season as well as appearing in two FA Cup Finals, both losses, in 1905 and 1906. He left Newcastle United in November 1906 becoming player/manager at Middlesbrough, a role he also held at Leicester City (then known as Leicester Fosse) from 1909 until 1911.O ...

He represented Great Britain at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Andrew Fox Scott Aitken (21 August 1934 – 28 February 2005) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Cliftonville, Hibernian, West Bromwich Albion, Falkirk, Raith Rovers and Gala Fairydean. Aitken began his senior football career by playing for Cliftonville while undergoing his national service in Northern Ireland.Jeffrey, pp10. After completing his national service, he signed for Hibernian in 1955. He made his debut for Hibs in a match against Falkirk, playing in a pair of boots borrowed from Gordon Smith. Andrew Robert Aitken (born 2 February 1978) is a Scottish former professional footballer who made over 300 appearances for Queen of the South. A left sided defender, he also played for Gretna and Ayr United. Career Aitken joined a Queen of the South in 1996 with new chairman Norman Blount getting the wheels moving on the club's revival. In 1997 Queen of the South reached the Scottish Challenge Cup final for the first time. Second Division Queens lost 1–0 to 1st Division Falkirk despite a rousing Queens display at Motherwell's Fir Park; a performance that included the man of the match award going to Queens veteran central midfield playmaker Tommy Bryce and an early career appearance for Jamie McAllister.
