Andres Bonifacio College (ABCollege or ABC) is a community college institution in the Philippines. Its campus is located at College Park, Brgy. Miputak, Dipolog. ABCollege offers course programs from kindergarten to postgraduate levels. Alumni and students of the college are referred to as ''Bonifacians''. History Andres Bonifacio College was founded in 1940 as Andres Bonifacio Institute by Amando B. Amatong and Felicidad S. Amatong. The college was named after Andres Bonifacio, a revolutionary leader, to which Amando himself found inspiration being born to poverty in Dalaguete, Cebu. The original location of ABI used to be in what is now Festival Shopping Arcade 1 in Rizal Avenue corner Magsaysay Street, Barangay Central. Liloy
Liloy, officially the Municipality of Liloy ( ceb, Lungsod sa Liloy; Subanen: ''Benwa Liloy''; Chavacano: ''Municipalidad de Liloy''; tl, Bayan ng Liloy), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 42,213 people. Liloy is mainly an agricultural community with an economy that relies mostly on crop production such as corn, rice, coconuts, peanuts, and root crops. It is known as the "Peanut Capital of Zamboanga del Norte". History Liloy was once a barrio or barangay of the Municipality of Sindangan. By virtue of Executive Order No. 469 issued by President Elpidio Quirino on August 22, 1951, it became an independent municipal corporation, although the municipal officials were not yet organized. The Philippine Bar Examination is the professional licensure examination for lawyers in the Philippines. The exam is exclusively administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines through the Supreme Court Bar Examination Committee. Brief history The first Philippine Bar Exams was conducted in 1901 with only 13 examinees. The third Philippine Bar Exam took place in 1903 but the results were released in 1905. José I. Quintos obtained the highest rating of 96.33%, Sergio Osmeña, Sr. was second with 95.66%, F. Salas was third with 94.5% and Manuel L. Quezon fourth with 87.83%. The first bar exam in 1901 has only 13 examinees, while the 2008 bar examination is the 107th (given per Article 8, Section 5, 1987 Constitution). Zorro Aguilar
Zorro Campos Aguilar (August 7, 1942 - September 23, 1984) was a Dipolog City-based Filipino human rights lawyer, activist, and newspaper editor best known for his work with the Free Legal Assistance Group, and the Zamboanga del Norte chapter of the Coalition for Restoration of Democracy (CORD). He was investigating the July 1984 killing of a human rights researcher in Zamboanga del Norte when he was himself gunned down on September 23, 1984. Aguilar was killed instantly, but fellow lawyer and politician Jacobo Amatong, who was with Aguilar when they were attacked, survived another eight hours and managed to tag their attackers as soldiers of the Marcos government before dying in the hospital. Two soldiers were eventually identified by the National Bureau of Investigation as suspects in the killing of Aguilar and Amatong, but the case faded away when the key witness was killed a year later.
