Andrejs Perepļotkins
Andrejs Perepļotkins ( uk, Андрій Ігорович Перепльоткін, ''Andriy Igorovych Pereplyotkin''; born 27 December 1984) is a Ukrainian born Latvian footballer, who plays primarily as a right winger for SK Super Nova. Although born in Ukraine, he played internationally for Latvia from 2007 to 2012. Club career Early career Perepļotkins joined Metalist Kharkiv at the age of 18, but over the next two years had spells with several different clubs. Those clubs included Fili Moscow and the famous Belgian club Anderlecht, as well as spending time at Southampton F.C.'s academy. Due to issues in regards to obtaining a work permit, Perepļotkins was unable to play for Southampton in front of a paying crowd, thus preventing him appearing for the first team. Riga Football Club, commonly referred to as Riga FC, is a Latvian football club, founded in 2014. The club is based at the Skonto Stadium in Riga. Since 2016 the club has been playing in the Virslīga. History The club was officially registered in April 2014. The team was established before the 2015 season after a merger of two Riga based teams – ''FC Caramba'' and ''Dinamo Rīga''. 2010 Latvian Higher League ( lv, LMT Virslīga 2010) was the 19th season of top-tier football in Latvia. It began on 9 April 2010 with the first round of games. Liepājas Metalurgs were the defending champions, having won their second league title last season. With the re-expansion of the league to 10 clubs, the format of the competition was altered for the third year in a row. The ten clubs played 18 rounds of matches, once at home and once away, against each of the other nine clubs in the league. After this, another nine rounds of matches were played for a total of 27 matches.
