Andrei Martemyanov
Andrei Alekseevich Martemyanov (russian: Андре́й Алексе́евич Мартемья́нов; born March 30, 1963) is retired Soviet and Russian ice hockey player and coach. He was head coach of KHL club, Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg and HC Sibir. He is the current coach for Amur Khabarovsk Played for junior and youth teams of the Soviet Union. USSR Champion 1984 with HC CSKA Moscow. Winner of 1989 Winter Universiade The 1989 Winter Universiade, the XIV Winter Universiade, took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. Defenceman (ice Hockey)
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). They were once called cover-point. In regular play, two defencemen complement three forwards and a goaltender on the ice. Exceptions include overtime during the regular season and when a team is shorthanded (i.e. has been assessed a penalty), in which two defencemen are typically joined by only two forwards and a goaltender. Amur Khabarovsk
Hockey Club Amur (russian: Хоккейный клуб Амур), commonly referred to as the Amur Khabarovsk, is a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Khabarovsk. They are members of the Chernyshev Division of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Located in the Russian Far East, the team takes its name from the Amur River, and plays its home games at the Platinum Arena. History Amur Khabarovsk was founded in 1966 as SKA Khabarovsk; it only adopted its current name in 1996, a name that comes from the nearby river Amur. By its location in the Russian Far East, the team is pretty isolated from every other team in the KHL, making rivalries difficult; the nearest KHL team is Admiral Vladivostok.
