Andrei Hauptman
Andrej Hauptman (born 5 May 1975) is a Slovenian former professional road racing cyclist. In 2001 he became the first Slovenian rider to take a world championship medal in cycling when he won the bronze in the road race at the Road World Championships. After retiring from competition, he became a cycling coach: he is coach of fellow Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar and also serves as head coach and head of selectors for the Slovenian national cycling team. He formerly managed , where as well as guiding Pogačar through his under-23 career he coached Primož Roglič when the latter switched from ski jumping to cycling and rode for the team's development squad. In May 2019 Hauptman joined as a '' directeur sportif'' after Pogačar joined the team. UAE Team Emirates
UAE Team Emirates () is an Emirati road bicycle racing team. The team competes at UCI WorldTeam level and has done so since the UCI World Tour was formed as the top category of road cycling in 2005. However the team was temporarily suspended from the ProTour in 2010, missing one ProTour event. Slovenian National Road Race Championships
The Slovenian National Road Race Championships have been held since independence in 1991. Blaž Jarc (U23 category) set absolute best time in 2009 Championships and beat all top riders (Elite category), and the same thing with U23 also happened at National Time Trials (2006, 2007, 2009). After that, Slovenian Cycling Federation (KZS) decided to change rules and make it more understable to public. Unlike before, when the U23 results were counted only in their own category, from 2010 onwards, the potential U23 winner by time becomes the Elite - absolute champion (the same goes for 2nd, 3rd...etc).
