Andrei Virgil Ciobanu (born 18 January 1998) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga I club Voluntari. Club career He played with Viitorul U19 in the Youth League in 8 games and scored 4 goals. Ciobanu made his debut in Liga I at the age of 17 and scored against the Romanian champions at that time, Astra Giurgiu; he has collected 101 matches since his debut and scored 12 goals, having also 16 assists. Fotbal Club Rapid 1923, commonly known as Rapid București () or simply as Rapid, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest, which competes in the Liga I. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. Suspended in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania, the season resumed on 13 June and effectively ended on 5 August. It was the fifth season to take place since the play-off/play-out rule had been introduced. CFR Cluj were two-time defending champions, and they successfully defended their title once more. Universitatea Craiova contented for the trophy until the final fixture of the championship play-offs, and ultimately finished as runner-ups, while FCSB were unable to claim a top three spot in the table for the first time since the 2010–11 season.
