Andreas Schei
Andreas Olai Schei (7 October 1902 – 25 December 1989) was a Norwegian jurist and civil servant. He was born in Førde as the son of Per Schei (1872–1960) and Johanne Schei (1874–1963). He was a younger brother of Nikolai Schei. In 1936 he married Karin Randi Bache-Wiig (1910–1996). He is the father of Chief Justice Tore Schei. After spending time in France he enrolled in law studies and took the cand.jur. degree in 1926. He was a deputy judge from 1926 to 1929 and a secretary in the Ministry of Justice and the Police from 1929 to 1939. In 1939 he was hired in the Ministry of Provisioning, and from 1941 to 1942 he was an acting deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Trade. Then, after three years in the company Norsk Brændselolje, he was appointed as deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Justice in 1945. In 1946 he was appointed as a Supreme Court Justice. Førde
Førde is a former municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It was located in the traditional district of Sunnfjord. The administrative center was the town of Førde which in 2016 had 10,255 inhabitants. Other villages in Førde municipality included Bruland, Holsen, Moskog, and Haukedalen. The Øyrane area in the town of Førde was a large industrial/commercial area for the region. The European Route E39 highway passed through the municipality, and it passed by the lake Holsavatnet. Førde Airport, Bringeland was the regional airport, located about from the town centre with flights that connect Oslo and Bergen with Førde. The airport was actually located in neighboring Gaular municipality, just south of the border. The largest hospital in Sogn og Fjordane county, Førde Central Hospital, and the regional offices of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation are located in the town. Erling Sandene
Erling Sandene (7 April 1921 – 5 March 2015) was a Norwegian judge and civil servant. Early and family life He was born in Bærum, a son of Jensine Sæther (1887–1981) and her schoolteacher husband Johan Sandene (1885–1945). Sandene married Erna Harbitz Torstenson in 1949 and they remained married until her death in 1986. He enrolled as a student in 1940, and graduated as cand.jur. in 1943 after only three years. He was also involved in the Norwegian resistance movement. Career In 1945 Sandene began his legal career as a deputy judge in Eidsvoll, where he helped handle the postwar legal purge. In 1946 Sandene began working in the Ministry of Justice and the Police. He was promoted to deputy under-secretary of state in 1962. Sandene became County Governor of Møre og Romsdal from 1966 to 1972. He then served as Supreme Court Justice beginning in 1972 as well as Norwegian Parliamentary Ombudsman from 1974 to 1982.
