Andreas Amundsen
Andreas Amundsen (born 28 December 1980) is a Norwegian jazz bassist. Career Amundsen was born on the island of Senja, Norway. He attended the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (2004–06), but did not graduate. He is distinguished for a European style in his musical expression. He has performed with "North" the quartet of Håvard Stubø, with Tore Johansen Quartet, in a quartet with Ed Thigpen, Espen Reinertsen's "Platoon", and at the Trondheim Jazz Festival, 2005, with John Pål Inderberg and Erling Aksdal. In the summer of 2013, he played at the club "Herr Nilsen" together with Einar "Pastor'n" Iversen (piano), Staffan William-Olsson (guitar) and Andreas Bye (drums). Senja (island)
or is an island in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway, Europe. With an area of , it is the second largest island in Norway (outside of the Svalbard archipelago). It has a wild, mountainous outer (western) side facing the Atlantic, and a mild and lush inner (eastern) side. The island is located within Senja Municipality, which was established on 1 January 2020. The island of Senja had 7,864 inhabitants as of 1 January 2017. Most of the residents live along the eastern coast of the island, with Silsand being the largest urban area on the island. The fishing village of Gryllefjord on the west coast has a summer-only ferry connection to the nearby island of Andøya: the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry. Staffan William-Olsson (born 13 December 1959) is a Swedish jazz guitarist in the band The Real Thing who has worked with Bob Berg, Lee Konitz, and Palle Mikkelborg. Career He played piano, guitar and drums already at the age of 7, and studied classical piano with a jazz-oriented teacher. Eventually he was oriented towards the guitar, with the blues and rock music as main sources of influence (Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin as main models). When he discovered jazz-rock, Weather Report, John McLaughlin and Allan Holdsworth among others became the new sources of inspiration. George Benson's record ''Bad Benson'' was a turning point, it opened up his ears for the clean, undistorted guitar sound, and guitarists like Pat Martino was a great influence. Troms
