Andrea Parra
Irle Andrea Parra Sauterel (born 2 September 1967) is a Chilean nurse and politician of the Party for Democracy (PPD). She has served as councilor of the municipality of Angol, governor of Malleco Province, and in March 2018 became the first woman to represent her region in the Chamber of Deputies for District 22. Biography Andrea Parra was born in Temuco on 2 September 1967, the daughter of Víctor Hugo Parra Hormazábal and Irle Olga Sauterel Schilling. She completed her basic and secondary studies at the Liceo Pablo Neruda in Temuco, graduating in 1984. From 1985 to 1990, she studied at the University of La Frontera, obtaining a nursing degree. She worked professionally at Huequén Family Health Center in Malleco Province, La Araucanía Region. She is divorced and has three children. University of the Frontier ( es, Universidad de La Frontera) or UFRO is a public university in Temuco, Araucanía Region, Chile. It is a derivative university and part of the Chilean Traditional Universities. UFRO boasts a student body with a variety of abilities and from a variety of backgrounds, many of them are Mapuche descent. Facilities The university owns a property called Rucamanque, that is used for research, environmental education, and conservation. Rucamanque holds old-growth and second-growth forest. Temuco
Temuco () is a city and commune, capital of the Cautín Province and of the Araucanía Region in southern Chile. The city is located south of Santiago. The city grew out from a fort of the same name established in 1881 during Chile's invasion of Araucanía. Temuco lies in the middle of the historic Araucanía, a traditional land of the indigenous Mapuche. Temuco's central place in Araucanía with easy access to the Andean valleys, lakes and coastal areas makes it a hub for tourism, agricultural, livestock and forestry operations as well as a communication and trade centre for the numerous small towns of Araucanía.
