Andrea Lundgren
Andrea Lundgren (born 1986) is a Swedish writer. She was born and raised in the town of Boden in Norrbotten, in the far north of Sweden. She made her debut in 2010 with the novel ''I tunga vintrars mage''. Her second novel ''Glupahungern'' followed four years later. In 2018, ''Glupahungern'' was dramatized by Ellenor Lindgren and premiered at Västerbottensteatern. It then went on tour around Sweden. Also in 2018 came her first collection of short stories, '' Nordic Fauna'', which received glowing reviews and won domestic literary prizes such as Tidningen Vi:s litteraturpris and Samfundet de Nios vinterpris. An English translation has been published by Peirene Press Peirene Press is an independent publishing house based in London. Boden, Sweden
Boden (, outdatedly ) is a locality and the seat of Boden Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden with 16,847 inhabitants in 2018. It is part of the larger area around coastal city Luleå some southeast. After Kiruna, it is the second largest town in Northern Sweden's interior. History The town of Boden started as a railway junction where the Northern Line (''Norra stambanan'', opened 1894) met with the Ore Line (''Malmbanan'') from the rich iron ore fields in northern Sweden. The town experienced increased growth when the Boden Fortress was constructed in the beginning of the 20th century. The purpose of the fortress was to defend Sweden from a possible attack from the east, where Russia was considered the most dangerous threat. The first official writings about Boden, was in a 1500~ tax paper, where the mention of "Boden village" with 7 homes. Boden got the title of city in 1919. Norrbotten
Norrbotten (), known in English as North Bothnia, is a Swedish province (''landskap'') in northernmost Sweden. It borders south to Västerbotten, west to Swedish Lapland, and east to Finland. Administration The traditional provinces of Sweden serve no administrative or political purposes, but are historical and cultural entities. In this case, however, the county is older than the province. When the new national border to the Russian Grand Duchy of Finland formed, the province of Västerbotten split in two, and formed the municipalities of Kolari, Muonio, Pello, Tornio, and Ylitornio. However, Finnish Västerbotten is not recognized enough as its own historical province, so it's usually merged instead with Ostrobothnia, however leaving out Muonio to Laponia. Samfundet De Nios Vinterpris
The Student Society in Trondheim ( no, Studentersamfundet i Trondhjem, Samfundet for short) is Norway's largest student society. Besides housing a café, a restaurant, several bars and frequently hosting concerts and other activities (among them Norway's biggest culture festival, UKA), it is an independent organization for all students and teachers in Trondheim, owned fully by its members. (At the end of 2011, there are about 9000 members.) Many famous artists have held concerts here.
