Andrea Lombardo
Andrea Daniele Lombardo (born May 23, 1987) is an Italian-Canadian former soccer player. Youth career Lombardo began his youth career playing for Woodbridge Strikers and North York Hearts. He then went on trials with Coventry City, Manchester City, and Modena being offered places in Manchester City and Modena’s Academy at the age of 15. He joined Manchester City and trained with them for four months until his work permit was denied. Through a connection from a friend of his father, he was offered a two-day trial with Atalanta. After scoring two goals in a scrimmage, he was offered a contract and joined the club's academy. Club career Lombardo began his professional career with Atalanta in 2004. In 2005 and 2006, he was loaned to Perugia and to Rieti. He joined Toronto FC in their inaugural season of Major League Soccer in 2007. Milltown Football Club is a soccer club based in Milton, Ontario, Canada, playing in Division 1 of the Peel Halton Soccer League. Milltown FC joined the Canadian Soccer League in the 2010 season as an expansion club but opted out of the league after one season due to disagreement over membership terms and conditions. Brantford Galaxy Soccer Club was a semi-professional Canadian soccer club based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, with their home venue located in Hamilton, Ontario at the Heritage Field Turf. The club competes in the Canadian Soccer League, a league not sanctioned by a FIFA-recognized body. The Galaxy were formed in 2010 as an expansion franchise. Toronto FC Academy, also known as TFC Academy, is the youth academy and development system of Canadian Major League Soccer club Toronto FC. The academy has divisions from U14 to U19 and includes over 110 young players. The senior academy team is known as Toronto FC III. 2012 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2012 Canadian Soccer League season (known as the Givova Canadian Soccer League for sponsorship reasons) was the 15th since its establishment where a total of 28 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on 5 May 2012, and concluded on 27 October 2012. Toronto Croatia defended their championship in a 1–0 victory over the Montreal Impact Academy in the CSL Championship final at Centennial Park Stadium in Toronto. Montreal became the second Quebec club after Trois-Rivières Attak to reach the final, while Toronto added more silverware to their cabinet by winning the double during the regular season.
