Andrea Kilbourne-Hill
Andrea Marie Kilbourne-Hill (born April 19, 1980) is an American ice hockey player. She won a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. A native of Saranac Lake, New York, Kilbourne attended Northwood School in Lake Placid. She played ice hockey at the school until her graduation in 1998. She then attended Princeton University and graduated in 2003. She was a leading scorer on the Princeton Tigers women's ice hockey team, scoring a total of 76 goals and 94 assists. At the 2002 Olympics, Kilbourne scored one goal and one assist in the tournament, helping the United States team take the silver medal. She was also a member of the United States teams which took second place in both the 2004 4 Nations Cup and the 2004 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships. Saranac Lake, New York
Saranac Lake is a village in the state of New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,406, making it the largest community by population in the Adirondack Park. The village is named after Upper, Middle and Lower Saranac lakes, which are nearby. The village of Saranac Lake covers parts of three towns ( Harrietstown, St. Armand, and North Elba) and two counties (Franklin and Essex). The county line is within two blocks of the center of the village. At the 2010 census, 3,897 village residents lived in Harrietstown, 1,367 lived in North Elba, and 142 lived in St. Armand. 2004 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships
The 2004 IIHF World Women's Championships were held March 30 – April 6, 2004 in Halifax and Dartmouth, Canada at the Halifax Metro Centre (now known as Scotiabank Centre), and the Dartmouth Sportsplex (now known as Zatzman Sportsplex). The Canadian national women's hockey team won their eighth straight World Championships. The event had 9 teams, because the 2003 event was cancelled due to the SARS epidemic, therefore no teams were relegated and the winners of the 2002 and 2003 Division I tournaments qualified. Canada won their 37th consecutive World Championship game before losing 3–1 in their third game. They later avenged their loss to the US by defeating them in the gold medal game 2–1.
