Andrea Evans
Andrea Lynn Evans (born June 18, 1957, in Aurora, Illinois) is an American actress and producer. She is most recognized for her portrayal of Tina Lord on the ABC soap opera ''One Life to Live'', a role she played from 1978 to 1981 and from 1985 to 1990, returning in 2008 and 2011. Evans also appeared on the soap operas ''The Young and the Restless'', ''The Bold and the Beautiful'' and ''Passions''. Career As a child, Evans appeared in beauty pageants, and later regional theater and commercials. She graduated early from high school and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While there Evans was cast as an extra in the 1978 Brian De Palma film '' The Fury'', and the same year in the miniseries ''The Awakening Land''. Casting director Mary Jo Slater soon got Evans the role of Tina on ''One Life to Live'', where she stayed until 1981. The Soap Opera Encyclopedia (Schemering Book)
''The Soap Opera Encyclopedia'' is a 1985 reference book by Christopher Schemering which assembles comprehensive information about all daytime and prime time soap operas broadcast up to the date of publication. It was revised and reprinted in 1987 and 1988, but is currently out of print. ''The Soap Opera Encyclopedia'' features commentary, analysis and criticism of "every daytime and prime-time television soap opera broadcast on the three major networks, as well as a selection of syndicated, cable, and foreign efforts." It also discusses background, significant storylines and impact of each program, and lists performers and characters. Schemering also includes a "Short History of Television Soap Opera," as well as profiles of major performers, writers and producers in the genre in a section entitled "Who's Who in Soap Opera." Karen Lorre (born December 13, 1961, in Long Beach, California), widely known by her maiden name, Karen Witter, is an American actress, model, and writer. Early life Lorre was born Karen Witter in Long Beach, California. Lorre was a pre-med psycho-physiology major at the University of California, Irvine. She studied the biochemical origins of mental illness while there. To raise money for tuition, she worked as a model and appeared in commercials. Career Modeling Lorre was ''Playboy'' magazine's Playmate of the Month for its March 1982 issue, and her centerfold was photographed by Arny Freytag. A Playmate is a female model featured in the centerfold/gatefold of ''Playboy'' magazine as Playmate of the Month (PMOTM). The PMOTM's pictorial includes nude photographs and a centerfold poster, along with a pictorial biography and the "Playmate Data Sheet", which lists her birthdate, measurements, turn-ons, and turn-offs. At the end of the year, one of the 12 Playmates of the Month is named Playmate of the Year (PMOTY). Jack Abbott is a fictional character from the American CBS soap opera ''The Young and the Restless''. The character was introduced in 1980 being portrayed by Terry Lester.
