Andrea Esposito
Andrea Esposito (born 17 May 1986) is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender for club Latina. Club career As a young boy, Esposito started his career in the local Lecce Primavera youth squad before being sent to Sambenedettese on loan for the 2006–07 season. He also played five Serie A games before he left on loan, the first of which was on 25 January 2004, against Lazio. After returning to the Lecce side in 2007, he scored his first professional goal in a 3–2 win over Rimini and helped the club win promotion from Serie B. In the following season in Serie A he scored a goal in a 1–1 home draw against A.C. Milan and impressed enough to force his way into the senior Italy squad at the end of the 2008–09 Serie A season. In July 2009, he was signed by Genoa in co-ownership deal. On 19 January 2010 Livorno signed the defender on loan from Genoa until June 2010. Pierluigi Casiraghi
Pierluigi Casiraghi (; born 4 March 1969) is an Italian professional football coach and former player who played as a striker. Casiraghi began his playing career in Italy in 1985, with Monza. He later played for Juventus, and Lazio, before ending his career with Chelsea in the Premier League. He retired after failing to recover from a cruciate ligament injury sustained in 1998. Casiraghi was a member of the Italy national football team that reached the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final, and was also a member of Italy's UEFA Euro 1996 squad. After retiring, he began his managerial career in 2002, first with the Monza youth side, later also coaching Legnano, and the Italy U-21 side. In 2014, he worked as an assistant manager for Cagliari. The 2010–11 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 109th season of top-tier Italian football, the 79th in a round-robin tournament, and the 1st since its organization under a league committee separate from Serie B. It began on 28 August 2010 and ended on 22 May 2011. Internazionale were the defending champions. Milan won the 2010–11 Serie A and their 18th league title overall with a scoreless draw away to Roma on 7 May 2011. This result ensured that with two rounds remaining Milan's nearest rival Internazionale could only draw level on points, and Milan holds the tiebreaker based on their better head-to-head record. The 2009–10 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 108th season of top-tier Italian football, the 78th in a round-robin tournament. There were three promoted teams from the Serie B, replacing the three teams that were relegated following the 2008–09 season. Nike provided a new match ball – the T90 Ascente – for this season. Following the season, citing a larger television contract, the seventeen teams that survived the season and the three promoted sides formed a new league akin to England's Premier League. Serie C1
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football (soccer), football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. 2006–07 Serie C1
The 2006–07 Serie C1 was the twenty-ninth edition of Serie C1, the third highest league in the Italian football league system. It was divided into two phases: the regular season, played from 3 September 2006, to 13 May 2007, and the playoff phase. Once the regular season was over teams placed 2nd to 5th entered a ''playoff'' to determine the second team in each division to be promoted to Serie B. At the same time, teams placed 14th to 17th entered a ''playout'' for the right to remain in Serie C1 the following season. As usual, Serie C1 was composed by two divisions, whose teams were divided geographically.
