Andra (singer)
Alexandra Irina Măruță ( Mihai; born 23 August 1986), better known by her stage name Andra, is a Romanian singer, songwriter and television personality. Andra began her career at the age of seven, where she had her first performance in TVR's musical competition Tip Top Minitop, singing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. In 2001, at 14 years old, Andra released her first single, "În noapte mă trezesc" ("I Wake Up in the Night"). In both 2004 and 2007, she attempted to represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest with the songs "Just a Little Love" and "Dracula, My Love", respectively. Since then, she has issued several hits, including the number ones "K la meteo" ("Like the Weather Forecast"; 2012), "Inevitabil va fi bine" ("It Will Inevitably Be Fine"; 2013), "Avioane de hârtie" ("Paper Airplanes"; 2015), "Niciodată să nu spui niciodată" ("Never Say Never"; 2015) and "Jumătatea mea mai bună" ("My Better Half"; 2021). Câmpia Turzii
Câmpia Turzii (; german: Jerischmarkt; hu, Aranyosgyéres) is a municipality in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania, which was formed in 1925 by the union of two villages, Ghiriș (''Aranyosgyéres'') and Sâncrai (''Szentkirály''). It was declared a town in 1950 and a city in 1998. The city is located in the southeastern part of the county, on the right bank of the Arieș River, at a distance of from Turda and from the county seat, Cluj-Napoca. ''Românii au talent'' ( en, Romanians got talent) is a TV show which began airing on 18 February 2011. The project acts as a Romanian version of the franchise Got Talent, developed by Syco, Simco Limited. The show is hosted by Smiley and Pavel Bartoș, while the opening judge panel consisted of presenter Andi Moisescu, singer Andra and dancer Mihai Petre; following Petre's exclusion for the fifth season, TV presenter Mihaela Rădulescu and actor Florin Călinescu joined the panel. Romanian Record Charts
Multiple record charts have been inaugurated in Romania since the 1990s. The Romanian Top 100 was the country's national chart until 2012. Founded in 1995, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations. The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting in 1998. Compilation of the list was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest. In the 2010s, the chart was announced during a podcast on Kiss FM, but the broadcast ended in February 2012. Later that month, the Airplay 100—which was compiled by Media Forest and also broadcast by Kiss FM—replaced the Romanian Top 100 as a national chart. Monica Anghel
Monica Anghel (; born 1 June 1971 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian singer and television personality. In 1996, she took part in the international preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The Romanian song "Rugă pentru pacea lumii" was not chosen to go to the international final in Oslo. In the same year, she won the "Golden Stag Festival" for Romania. Anghel participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn, with Marcel Pavel. Their song " Tell Me Why" reached the 9th place, which was the third best score ever for Romania. A few years later Anghel started to collaborate with comic group Divertis. Cargo (band)
Cargo is a Romanian heavy metal band from Timișoara. Biography Cargo was formed by Adrian Bărar in 1985, after he quit the new wave band Autostop. The original line-up was Tavi Iepan (guitar), Carol Bleich (drums), Tiberiu Gajdo (bass), Dinel Tollea (keyboards) and Adrian Bărar (guitar, vocals). In 1988, the group recruited Ovidiu Ioncu "Kempes" as their new vocalist. He would stay with the band for the next 15 years, lending his voice to 4 full-length albums. During these years, Cargo toured the country extensively, playing numerous festivals, and receiving radio airplay, becoming the most well-known heavy metal band in the country.
