''Andiamo a quel paese'' (Italian for "Let's go to that village", a play on the phrase ''Vai a quel paese!'', "Go to hell!") is a 2014 Italian comedy film written, directed and starred by the comedy duo Ficarra e Picone. It premiered out of competition at the 2014 Rome Film Festival. It was a box office hit, grossing over 8 million euros. It was also the most successful film starred by the comedy duo. Plot Salvo and Valentino are two friends who, along with Salvo's wife Donatella and daughter Adele, are evicted from their home in Palermo. With no job prospects, the four relocate to Salvo's hometown of Monteforte, where he is hoping for a job recommendation through a connection with a local bigwig named La Duca. Salvatore Ficarra (born 27 May 1971, in Palermo) and Valentino Picone (born 23 March 1971, in Palermo) are an Italian comedy duo who work on stage, films, television and books as Ficarra e Picone. Life and career They started in 1993 along with Salvatore Borrello as a comedy trio, performing together on stage as "Chiamata Urbana Urgente". Mariano Rigillo (born 12 September 1939) is an Italian actor. Biography In the 1960s, Rigillo attended the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts and began his career on stage playing roles in plays by William Shakespeare, Carlo Goldoni, Bertolt Brecht and Luigi Pirandello, and in those years he met Giuseppe Patroni Griffi with whom he has worked on numerous occasions. Antonino "Nino" Frassica (born 11 December 1950) is an Italian actor, Duke of Gela and television personality.
